I’m giving a 5 in advance for the weight—Rock 4.0 is very light. The semi-open system means the plates are partially visible, but this gives flexibility in mounting them when they're non-standard. Minor flaws for the manufacturer to address: there’s no possibility to shorten the cummerbunds for slimmer users without overlapping the rear Velcro straps, which reduces overall hold, or at least an option to choose their length (S/M, M/L, L/XL) when ordering. TG pouches with a plastic side don’t fit comfortably in a single row—you have to attach them at different heights (higher-lower-higher). The vest lacks internal straps for heavy plates.
Maskpol MAPA Rock 4.0 Tactical Vest - MultiCam
Tactical plate carrier vest engineered for individuals who require a lightweight yet robust solution to support a ballistic system. Ideal for special operations forces, law enforcement personnel, and tactical response teams operating in demanding environments.
Optimized to accommodate hard SAPI ballistic plates in L and XL sizes. The construction delivers a balance of minimal weight with exceptional mechanical strength, complete modularity, and versatility in customization, guaranteeing a secure fit and outstanding comfort during prolonged use.
damage-resistant cordura
Constructed from Cordura fabric, renowned for its exceptional durability while remaining lightweight, this model ensures superior resistance against abrasion, tears, and adverse weather. Designed specifically for rugged field operations and demanding use, the vest’s build is optimized for enhanced mechanical strength.
durable construction and 3D spacer panels
Featuring a front and back panel, Cummerbund side belt, adjustable shoulder straps, and a set of comfort pads placed beneath the straps, the vest delivers optimal functionality. Enhanced by 3D spacer panels, airflow is significantly improved, offering superior comfort during extended wear. The ergonomic design ensures an outstanding fit to the body, delivering a high degree of mobility and user comfort.
laser-cut system, velcro panel
The vest features a Laser-Cut system surface, ensuring full compatibility with MOLLE accessories. Users can customize the arrangement of equipment such as pouches, containers, or pockets according to their operational needs. On the back, a modular zipper mounting platform enables rapid attachment of a backpack or extra panels.
A velcro panel located at chest level provides a spot for securing personalized patches or emblems.
Innovative closure and configuration system
The modular quick-release system (QR) provides users with the flexibility to choose their preferred attachment setup—compatible with ROC 40 buckles, other 40 mm hardware, as well as traditional velcro fastening methods.
The front panel is designed to interface seamlessly with G-hook buckles, delivering a low-profile surface without sacrificing the full operational capabilities of the load-bearing system. The updated Cummerbund system enables both circumference adjustment and the option to fit extra ballistic panels.
integration with electronic equipment
Featuring a cable and antenna stabilization system, the vest incorporates mounting loops on the front panel, rear panel, and along the shoulder straps. The rear panel also houses dedicated antenna pockets, enabling seamless integration with radios, communication devices, and other electronic gear.

multicam camouflage
MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern, introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as a component of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Designed to deliver optimal concealment, the pattern provides exceptional versatility across diverse terrains and shifting environmental conditions.
Composed of seven distinct colors, the MultiCam pattern achieves smooth gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows adaptive blending with backgrounds, reflecting green hues in wooded environments or brown and beige tones in arid landscapes. In Central and Eastern Europe, MultiCam excels during the autumn months and in areas with dry vegetation. MultiCam enjoys global recognition, having been adopted by multiple armed forces and specialized units worldwide. In 2010, the US Army officially selected MultiCam as the standard pattern for troops deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian availability has also contributed to its popularity among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.
Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.
Quick Release buckles are a type of fastener that allows the user to open and close quickly, often with one hand. Used in belts, backpacks or tactical accessories where quick release can be crucial.
