The quality is outstanding. Very well fitted, well sewn, and the attention to detail is immediately noticeable. What I missed in other models is the reinforced index finger and thumb. I hope they will last as long as the previous ones.
Mechanix Original M-Pact Open Cuffs Tactical Gloves - Black/Grey
Highly resilient and multifunctional tactical gloves in Black/Grey, engineered for use by professional soldiers and special forces personnel.
Synthetic leather, Armortex material, TrekDry, open cuffs
Crafted from Armortex fabric combined with synthetic leather, these gloves deliver a reliable grip and effectively prevent slipping on slick surfaces. The upper section utilizes breathable and lightweight TrekDry material, which ensures an optimal fit and all-day comfort. The Open Cuff version includes a flexible, open cuff with an integrated elastic band. Eliminating a conventional closure results in superior comfort.
TPR panels, D3O inserts
The glove’s exterior is reinforced with robust TPR (Thermal Plastic Rubber) panels that meet EN 13594 standards, providing reliable defense against abrasions and impacts from external hazards. Thanks to a segmented panel configuration, flexibility and ease of finger movement are ensured. The palm section is equipped with D3O inserts, designed to dissipate impact forces and dampen vibrations in the metacarpal region.
Touchscreen compatibility, loops for easy carrying
The touchscreen-compatible feature enables the operation of mobile devices while keeping the gloves on. A loop at the wrist offers convenient options for carrying, hanging, or attaching the gloves together.
EN388-3121XP Standard
The gloves comply with the EN388 level 2121XP mechanical protection standard, which specifies the following ratings:
- 2: abrasion resistance (range 0-4)
- 1: cut resistance (range 0-5)
- 2: tear resistance (range 0-4)
- 1: puncture resistance (range 0-4)
- X: cut resistance – TDM method (ISO 13997) (range A-F)
- P: impact protection (test successful)
The EN388 standard rating scales define glove protection levels: 0 corresponds to no protection, while the highest ratings (4, 5) denote the greatest resistance.
For TDM testing (ISO 13997), letters indicate protection levels: A signifies the lowest level, and F designates the highest protection.
X marking denotes an untested or non-applicable parameter, while P marking confirms the glove meets impact protection standards.

TPR, or thermoplastic rubbeTPR, or thermoplastic rubber, is a material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It is flexible and durable, and is often used in the manufacture of tool handles, gaskets, footwear, and many other products, as it provides comfort, good grip and wear resistance.r, is a type of synthetic material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. TPR is characterized by its flexibility and abrasion resistance.
TrekDry is a modern material characterized by high breathability. It effectively wicks moisture away from the surface of the skin, which helps to keep it dry and thermally comfortable during intense physical activity. It fits to the shape of the hand, ensuring freedom of movement and increasing precision during various activities.
Armortex is a durable material that is highly resistant to abrasion, tearing and cutting. Its special synthetic fiber structure reinforces the areas most vulnerable to damage, and the special texture ensures better grip and a secure hold. It prevents the gloves from becoming wet in contact with water, oil or other liquids.
D3O is a modern material with intelligent molecules that move freely during normal use. However, at the moment of impact, they fuse together, absorbing and dispersing energy, then rapidly return to an elastic state. As a result, the material effectively reduces vibration, protects hands from injury and reduces hand strain while working.

Versatile gloves. I mainly use them for tasks that require effective hand protection (heavier work), e.g., chopping wood. Recommended.
-
Great gloves, just like all products from Mechanix. The sizing is accurate. They are comfortable, fit well, made of high-quality materials, and nicely finished. Using them is pure pleasure.
-
Appearance and workmanship: 10/10, cold protection: 9/10... but they are very stiff, changing the magazine in these gloves isn’t pleasant, so for practicality, no more than 3/10.
-
A good investment in hand protection. A small downside for the fastening system (small red straps), they could’ve added a D ring or something for a carabiner. 4.8 out of 5. Mechanix is the optimal solution at a reasonable price.
-
The gloves are very well made, nothing to complain about. Very comfortable, fitted, flexible, but they are clearly different from those in the store's offer photo, maybe it's a different series... that’s why only 4 stars.
-
Great gloves, like every Mechanix model. This one has the outer side reinforced with rubber inserts, which absorbs various impacts well. I use them for airsoft and despite being hit, my hands are intact :)
-
Great gloves!
-
They look solid. They fit nicely on the hands.

Tested in the field, price is adequate for the quality, durable.

Palm interior made of artificial leather. Quite thin, allowing good feeling, but probably still durable. The back breathes pleasantly and does not sweat. Contrary to the description, touchscreens can actually be operated with all fingers. Unfortunately, the seams at the fingertips are very noticeable inside – they affect the feel and significantly limit touchscreen use. You have to use your whole fingertip, so hitting a small spot on the screen is rather problematic.

Great gloves, I recommend them. I use them as spare and they are excellent.
