Mechanix Speedknit Thermal Tactical Gloves Black

Tactical gloves in black, crafted from a blend of nylon and acrylic. The outer surface is reinforced with a layer of nitrile fabric that resists wind and moisture. Acrylic knitted insulation delivers excellent warmth and ensures thermal comfort during cold weather conditions.

durable materials, touchscreen capability

Featuring a sandblasted nitrile grip area, the textured, non-slip surface permits touchscreen operation, ensures total grip control, and facilitates the execution of precise tasks. Enhanced with compression cuffs, the model guarantees a snug fit and shields hands from the cold. Gloves are machine washable.

ANSI/ISEA 105-6A2X and EN388-3331X and EN511-12X standards

The gloves conform to the American protective standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level 6A2X, providing cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance, which corresponds to:

  • 6: abrasion resistance (rated on a scale of 1 to 6)
  • A2: cut resistance (rated from A1 to A9)
  • X: puncture resistance (on a scale of 0 to 5)

Gloves also meet the EN388 standard at level 3331X for mechanical hazard protection, meaning:

  • 3: abrasion resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 3: cut resistance (scale 0–5)
  • 3: tear resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 1: puncture resistance (scale 0–4)
  • X: cut resistance – TDM method (ISO 13997) (scale A–F)

Compliance with EN511 standard at level 12X ensures cold weather protection by offering:

  • 1: convective cold resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 2: contact cold resistance (scale 0–4)
  • X: water penetration resistance (0 or 1)

Within the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, abrasion resistance ranges from 1 to 6 and reflects the number of cycles the material withstands before wearing through. Cut resistance is graded from A1 to A9 (from minimum to maximum protection), while puncture resistance, measured on a scale of 0 to 5, shows the force needed to pierce the glove surface using a sharp probe (needle puncture testing is not included).

The scale values provided in EN388 and EN511 standards indicate glove protection levels: 0 represents no protection, while the top values (4, 5) signal maximum resistance. For water penetration, 0 means penetration occurs, and 1 means no penetration.

In the TDM test method (ISO 13997), letter designations are applied, where A signifies the lowest level of resistance and F indicates the highest.

The X symbol designates a parameter that is either untested or not relevant.

Unfortunately, the gloves turned out to be too tight for me, even though I used the size chart. The material itself is pleasantly soft and warm, and the gloves seem sturdy, but I feel too squeezed inside.

They are comfortable and warm, but when they get wet, it's hard to dry them. The first pair was cut on the first day on the inside of the hand—I didn't even notice how or when. The second has lasted until today, which is several months of installation work outside. For this price, the quality is acceptable.

Gloves for dirty work. These are thick and tight-fitting work gloves dipped in rubber. They are perfect for working in the garden in winter/autumn. Not suitable for the city, as they are cumbersome.

Comfortable high gloves are perfect for cycling on cold evenings because they are very soft and pleasant inside. Thanks to the comfortable grip, the material seems to be of good quality. I recommend the product.

These are tough gloves for dirty jobs. Solid rubber on the outside, they cover well past the wrist. They have some insulation, but I wouldn't rely on them as primary gloves in winter. Rather, I would use them as an insert for other gloves.

Nice winter gloves, perfect for work. They are waterproof. I think they are best for temperatures just below zero. The size is a bit larger compared to other Mechanix (original) gloves. I recommend them.

The gloves have a good grip, they're flexible, suitable for various tasks whether working on a car or clearing snow, and they also worked well for sledding. In terms of warmth, the palm and fingers up to the knuckles are fine even below -11°C, but the upper part of the fingers, especially the fingertips, already get cold at -6°C.

The gloves seem to be very warm (unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to try them out yet), but they have two drawbacks for me: namely, if someone thinks they’ll get cheap Mechanix gloves for shooting range purposes, they’ll be very surprised – these gloves are work gloves, not 'shooting' gloves, and they’re simply too stiff to shoot in. The second drawback is that either these gloves are made for people with very long hands, or my hands are an unusual shape, because after checking the size chart I chose size L and unfortunately, the gloves are not just snug but very tight in width – it wouldn’t hurt if they were a little looser there. However, they are too long in the fingers – I have a good 1.5 cm of space left at the fingertips.

I bought them for snow removal, but so far winter hasn't reached me yet. But even when dry, you can tell there's a huge difference compared to so-called 'vampires'. The gloves are flexible, tight, and warm. I don't know about breathability. For temperatures of -30°C they definitely won't work, but for -10°C to +10°C they'll do the job.

Great work gloves. Incredibly warm, comfortable, and perfect for tinkering. The range of sizes and classic black color are definitely a plus.

Good gloves for working in the cold, but also just for a walk in the field. Comfortable and flexible, they are warm, though they get a bit dirty. I've already bought a second pair.

This time, when buying another pair of Mechanix gloves, I was influenced by the price because they were an amazing deal in the promotion. But I was convinced as soon as I put them on—not only are they warm, but the outside has a sort of rubberized texture that not only improves the grip but also keeps your hands from getting cold. Perfect for winter conditions, and they will be useful not just for shoveling snow. Great purchase. The quality of workmanship is outstanding.

Mechanix SpeedKnit Thermal tactical gloves—ideal for winter work: warm, well-fitted, comfortable to move in. A good investment for colder days.

I bought these gloves to get free shipping and didn't expect them to be so good. They're warm, durable, and comfortable—if I had paid twice as much, I would be just as satisfied.

Great gloves for cold, wet days. Very comfortable. Quite thick and not precise, but these aren't gloves for a watchmaker. This is my second pair. Highly recommended.
