Mechanix Wear FastFit D4-360 Cut Resistant Gloves - Covert Black

Tactical gloves in black offer outstanding cut resistance, superior flexibility, and robust durability, ensuring a precise and comfortable fit to the hand. The FastFit version is perfectly suited for survival adventures, automotive workshop use, DIY tasks, as well as ASG or paintball activities. Mechanix gloves are also a popular choice among special forces operators.

durable materials, touchscreen support, cut resistance

Constructed from breathable TrekDry fabric and synthetic leather measuring just 0.6 mm thick, these gloves deliver excellent grip and minimize slippage on wet surfaces. The integration of spandex into the Armortex material ensures a snug fit on the hand while maintaining full freedom of movement. The fabric enables you to use touchscreens without removing your gloves. A layer of cut-resistant lining is positioned on the inner grip surface for added protection.

protective standards

These gloves comply with the American standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level XA4X for protection against cuts, abrasion, and punctures, specifically meaning:

  • X: abrasion resistance (rated from 1 to 6)
  • A4: cut resistance (rated from A1 to A9)
  • X: puncture resistance (rated from 0 to 5)

Gloves also meet the requirements of EN388 at level 3X43D for mechanical hazard resistance, which signifies:

  • 3: abrasion resistance (scored from 0–4)
  • X: cut resistance (measured from 0–5)
  • 4: tear resistance (measured from 0–4)
  • 3: puncture resistance (measured from 0–4)
  • D: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (rated from A–F)

Within the ANSI/ISEA 105 framework, abrasion resistance is measured on a scale of 1 to 6, indicating the number of cycles a material endures before wearing out. Cut resistance ranges from A1 to A9, where higher values indicate greater protection. Puncture resistance is graded on a scale from 0 to 5, reflecting the amount of force necessary to puncture the glove surface with a sharp probe (note: not for needle puncture).

The scales indicated by the EN388 standard classify levels of glove protection: 0 denotes no protection, whereas highest scores (4, 5) represent maximum resistance.

Letter codes used in the TDM testing method (ISO 13997) identify cut protection, where A refers to the lowest and F to the highest level of defense.

An X symbol signifies the parameter has not been tested or is not relevant.

It fits to the shape of the hand, ensuring freedom of movement and increasing precision during various activities.

They breathe well and fit great in the hand. Despite the lack of Velcro, they stay on very securely and do not slip off while working. The material, despite its thickness, dissipates heat very well. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Excellent quality gloves, by far the most durable I've ever owned. They literally resist any damage. Totally as described. I highly recommend them to everyone.

The strongest gloves I have ever dealt with. You can use them roughly and do things gloves are not supposed to be used for, and they are still intact and healthy.

The gloves are thicker, but still quite breathable, so your hands don't sweat too much. I took a larger size because I thought it would be more comfortable, but the smaller one probably would have worked too.

Bought mainly based on the reviews of other users, at first glance they seem quite solid, the material is thick yet still provides good feel in the hand, the price also tempted me. I bought them mainly for camp work, I don't intend to test their cut resistance, but I hope that in case of anything I won't need to reach for a first aid kit. I recommend them.

Exceptionally durable gloves, I use them for urbex and they've had the chance to encounter rebar and other sharp metal parts many times, but they've always come out unscathed.

The gloves are nice, really durable, yet offer enough feel and mobility at the same time. The only issue is that even though it’s a fast-fit model, the middle layer is rather loose, which makes putting on the gloves quickly somewhat troublesome, which is important for me. Once they're on and adjusted, everything is quite comfortable. Despite this drawback, I still fully recommend them.

  8. K...

They are not very durable, a slight cut with a knife on the outside of the glove caused the leather layer to be cut, but the inner layer was not cut. Nevertheless, I expected better durability.

  9. B...

Definitely the most durable gloves I have ever dealt with. They are literally resistant to every type of damage. I highly recommend them.

I strongly advise against buying these for workshop work, contrary to what is written. After three days of not even intensive work, the fingers started to wear through at the seams, abrasion resistance 3/4, probably only in dreams.

The most durable gloves I have in my collection. Definitely a great design. I highly encourage everyone to buy them because they're definitely worth it.

Pros: well-made, very comfortable, and give the impression of being protective. Cons: Sizing. After measuring my hand, my length was M and width was L. I chose size L and it is definitely too short, while the width is fine. So I recommend considering choosing a size up.

Brilliant gloves. They look like regular gloves, but give you a sense of security, especially now that attacks with sharp tools are more frequent. The construction is comfortable, the gloves aren't stiff, which is a plus. On cold days, they also provide protection against the cold. I recommend.

  14. B...
    100%

The most robust gloves I have had on my hands so far. They handle every task very well. I highly recommend them to everyone because they are definitely worth buying.

  15. D...

Warm and thick gloves compared to, for example, m-pact. I recommend taking a size larger, as they feel tight on the hands. They're not good for handling handguns due to their thickness, but they're fine for rifles.
