This is already my second pair of MOABs. I started using them on the recommendation of my globetrotting buddy, and they turned out to be a total surprise in this price range. Light as a feather, the sole grips the ground, they dry quickly, and they are incredibly comfortable, ready for long routes right away. These are versatile shoes, suitable both for the city and for the mountains during the spring-to-autumn season. They go great with outdoor trousers as well as with jeans.

Compared to regular Moab 3s, these are much heavier and you can feel it while walking. Usually, you put regular Moabs on new and just walk in them, but these need to be broken in. They are quite comfortable, however in hot weather they are noticeably warmer than regular Moabs. Overall, the shoes are comfortable. After less than a year, during which they were not used in winter, the inner lining wore through. Shipping, as usual, was express.

Merrell MOAB 3 Low Tactical — so far the best shoes I’ve ever had. Perfect cushioning, a springy and quiet gait; I wear them every day, both in the field and around the city. These are not shoes only for summer, because I wore them both at around 0°C (in March) and in temperatures above +35°C in summer, and they never felt too hot — so the ventilation is OK. The membrane works — they do not let sand get inside. After almost a year of use, the sole shows no damage or signs of wear. I have the impression that they form a natural unity with the foot; they fit perfectly, and both the shoe itself and the insole have “memorized” its shape. But a word of caution: they became this perfect only after about two weeks of breaking them in. In fact, right at the beginning there was a problem: the lower edge of the element in which the lace holes are set rubbed against the area of the fourth toe, and trimming off the protruding edge yourself was difficult because of the construction of the shoe tongue. But it was worth it! Of course, these are not waterproof shoes, but they dry quickly. I will definitely get myself a spare pair (but my size is currently unavailable). I recommend them.

Nice shoes for summer, comfortable, well made, the olive color looks very nice. So far everything is OK, we’ll see after a year of use. I will definitely buy another pair in a different colour.

I expected the shoes to be of better quality – I feel disappointed :( The inner lining wore out quickly, and in one of the shoes the heel broke through the sole (the picture shows a crack in the white sole). Now walking has become uncomfortable, I feel pressure on my heel, and the insoles do not help at all. However, the sole itself seems solid and hardly shows any signs of wear. I am attaching a picture.

I bought these shoes here at the end of last summer and used them as tactical footwear on various types of surfaces. The shoes were not my only pair. Unfortunately, the quality of this brand has really disappointed me. First, the inner lining started wearing through—especially at the heel and in other spots. Then I had problems with the outer mesh, which began to come apart. I used the shoes carefully, and I had Salomons for tougher terrain. However, the sole deserves praise, as it has remained intact since new. Unfortunately, the price-to-quality ratio is not right here. These shoes used to be virtually indestructible. On the plus side, the shoes are solid and I like them very much, but I had to break them in. After 10 km of walking, the crease in the shoe sharply rubbed the top of my 4th toe, counting from the big toe.

After good experiences with this brand, I bought this model. And right from the start, I regretted it. First - the shoes are heavy. I understand tactical shoes are not the same as running shoes, but these are REALLY heavy. Second, very stiff. The sole is like concrete. I thought maybe they would break in - mistake. You get used to them but you don't break them in. They will always be stiff. You don't "feel" the ground. Third - they are suitable for outdoors, but in the city it's torture. Also, if the surface is wet, e.g. concrete, they start to slip. After two years, holes appeared in both shoes where the front rubber meets the material by the big toe, so I threw them out with relief.

Very comfortable shoes. At first, for the first two days, they seemed a bit too narrow on the sides and I wondered if I should have picked a bigger size, but this feeling passed and they’re perfect. Other people also have this impression sometimes. Walking both in the city and in forests and mountains is fully comfortable. They generally grip surfaces well, although once, when they were covered in mud, I slipped on a wet footbridge over a stream, but I acknowledge it was my fault because after leaving the mud I should have wiped the shoes on grass. If you have a wide foot, you’ll be delighted.

The shoes are sensational – comfortable, lightweight, and very durable. They hold the foot well, provide grip on different surfaces, and the Dark Coyote color works great for terrain and outdoor activities.
