I walked 44 km in the new Moab Speed 2 tactical boots. For the first 15 km, it was pouring rain, and even so, no water got inside. I usually wear size 11, but this time I chose 11.5; I also taped the areas prone to blisters with Leukotape P and wore two pairs of socks — thin synthetic ones and outer merino wool ones — which meant I didn’t get any blisters during the entire hike. I also rate the moisture management very highly; even after 44 km, it performed excellently. After 25 km, I switched from long pants to shorts, and that’s when I unfortunately noticed the lack of gaiters — a lot of small stones get into the boots, which is really annoying. You have to stop all the time to empty them out. One boot weighs 600 g, but the comfort on long distances is outstanding. Only time will tell how durable these boots will be.

Merrell MOAB Speed 2 Tactical Mid - Coyote boots Great boots at a good price. I walked in them for about two seasons, covering more than 3,000 km in total in various conditions, from city paving stones or construction rubble through wild forest and mountain terrain. Even though I really put a lot of miles on them, the sole is still holding up, whereas in all my previous boots I wore them down much earlier. I assume they will last at least another half of what they have already been through. I wore through a bit of the material right at the top near the lacing, but with this kind of durability that is completely acceptable.

I bought these shoes for winter, to use at work in the services. After 2 weeks of testing, I can recommend them with a clear conscience. Merrell, as always, is first class for me in terms of comfort. The shoes are very solid, the lacing system is excellent - it wraps the whole foot well, they're leather - waterproof. They are good down to -5°C with good socks; I haven’t had the chance to test them in lower temperatures. I recommend polishing and impregnating them right away with a water and dirt repellent. That way, the shoes stay elegant for a long time. Once again, I recommend!

Solid and very comfortable shoes. They stabilize the foot well, and the comfortable insole allows for all-day walking without discomfort. Good quality workmanship. I recommend them.
