Meteor Self-Inflating Mat 195 x 60 x 2,5 cm - Black

Self-inflating sleeping pad with a length of 195 cm made of high-quality pongee material characterised by high durability, resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Polyurethane foam with a thickness of 2.5 cm protects against the cold and ensures sleeping comfort.

The model features a thermal insulation rating of R-Value 2.5, determined in accordance with the ASTM F3340-18 standard. This parameter defines the level of insulation from the ground - the higher the value, the more effective the reduction of heat loss.

Interpretation of R-Value used in the outdoor industry:

• 1.0-2.0 - use in summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 deg C),
• 2.1-3.5 - spring-summer-fall use (approx. 0-10 deg C),
• 3.6-5.0 - cool conditions, around 0 deg C and sub-zero temperatures down to approx. -5 /-10 deg C,
• 5.1-7.0 - winter use, temperatures below 0 deg C,
• above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements.

Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleep system (sleeping bag, clothing), the type of ground, and the individual user's cold resistance.

When unfolding the pad, the foam expands automatically, filling itself with air. When rolling it up, the air escapes on its own, which allows the packed size to be reduced and guarantees convenience in use. The integrated valve offers the possibility of adding air and increasing or decreasing the firmness of the pad as needed.
