MFH Israeli Pilot Sleeping Bag - Olive Left

Durable sleeping bag in Olive colour, in an envelope shape, ensuring comfortable body positioning and unrestricted movement during sleep. It is modelled on sleeping bags used by Israeli pilots. It is made of high-quality polyester, equipped with a durable outer shell and synthetic Hollow Fiber filling.

Temperatures and conditions of use

The temperature ratings of the Pilot sleeping bag specified in accordance with EN ISO 23537-1:

  • T-comfort: 4,9 degrees Celsius - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
  • T-limit: -0,2 degrees Celsius - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
  • T-extreme: -15,5 degrees Celsius - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.

polyester construction

The outer and inner layers are made of durable polyester, which effectively protects against abrasion and mechanical damage while reducing the risk of further tearing of the fabric.

Hollow Fiber filling

The filling of the sleeping bag consists of a double layer of Hollow Fiber fibres with a grammage of 200 g/m2, characterised by light weight and very high compressibility. The quilted construction prevents the fibres from shifting, which ensures even heat distribution. Additionally, the insulation does not flatten, so it returns to its original resilience and is breathable, allowing proper air circulation. The insulation retains its thermal insulation properties even after getting wet, washing and intensive use. The filling does not cause allergic reactions and is suitable for people allergic to feathers.

two-way zip

The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zip with a velcro fastening, placed along the entire length. When fully unzipped, the model can be used as a quilt or camping tarp. It is possible to connect the sleeping bag with a second model, with the zip on the opposite side.

Convenient transport and storage

The model is convenient for transport and storage. When folded and compressed, the sleeping bag measures 40 x 25 x 25 cm, and its weight is 1800 g, which allows for easy carrying without excessively burdening your luggage.

    Very warm, as described. The only drawback is rolling it up... it's so thick and 'stuffed' that you have to do it precisely to fit it in the hood :) , which is a really cool integral idea.

    The quality of workmanship is outstanding… the temperature range is excellent – works great. It's a bit large when folded, but that's understandable given the weight. The hood, which in my opinion has many uses, is fantastic. I recommend it.

    Comfortable and practical sleeping bag: well made, the hood/cover allows you to create a pillow as well as pack easily, good temperature range. Solid compression straps (for transport and storage), the sleeping bag can be washed and can easily be connected to a second one (with the same MFH pilot model even sold many years ago – checked).
