The M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) represents a series of pixelated camouflage designs introduced to the Finnish Defence Forces in 2005, replacing the earlier M91 pattern. Developed with digital analysis of photographs taken in Finnish forests across various seasons by the Finnish Forest Research Institute, the M05 pattern aims for optimal concealment. The M05 collection encompasses several versions, including woodland, snow, and cold weather adaptations.

The standard woodland variant of M05 features patches of light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite, accurately reflecting the characteristics of Finnish woodlands. Thanks to similar vegetation and terrain, the M05 Woodland camouflage is also highly effective in the forests found throughout Central and Eastern Europe, ensuring reliable concealment in natural environments.
