M05 Camouflage
The M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) represents a line of pixelated camouflage patterns adopted by the Finnish Defence Forces in 2005, replacing the earlier M91 pattern. Digital analysis of photographs from Finnish forests during various seasons, supplied by the Finnish Forest Research Institute, formed the basis for its development. The M05 pattern family encompasses multiple variants, including woodland, snow, and cold weather designs.
The primary woodland configuration of M05 features light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite patches, accurately mirroring the appearance and texture of Finnish forest environments. Thanks to the resemblance in vegetation and terrain, the M05 Woodland pattern also delivers effective concealment in the woodlands of Central and Eastern Europe, making it well-suited for blending into a range of natural settings.
