MFH Viper Softshell Jacket - OD Green

A green jacket serving as a lightweight and warm outer layer intended for outdoor activities, tourism, field work, and everyday use. It combines wind protection and waterproofing at the level of 8000 mm water column with breathability of 3000 g/m2/24 h, a comfortable design, and an extensive pocket system.

The solid colour scheme pairs well with outdoor clothing as well as tactical equipment. The technical fit of the jacket, velcro panels on the shoulders, elbow reinforcements, and numerous pockets make the Viper model suitable for both field trips and everyday conditions.

The outer material is made from a combination of:

• 95% polyester - providing durability, resistance to everyday use, and quick drying,
• 5% spandex - increasing the elasticity of the material and making movement easier during walking, trekking, and field work.

Inside, a warm fleece lining with a structure resembling a honeycomb was used. The material with a grammage of 355 g/m2 provides additional insulation against the cold. The lining structure also supports air circulation and improves wearing comfort. The fleece finish was also used inside the high collar.

The outer material is windproof, limits the penetration of cold air, and provides better protection during windy weather. The jacket will work well as an outer clothing layer during transitional seasons and outdoor activities.

The surface of the material is hydrophobic. It limits moisture absorption and provides protection against light rain at the level of 8000 mm water column. The breathability of the material is 3000 g/m2/24 h. The fabric enables moisture vapour transfer generated during exertion, which helps reduce moisture build-up inside the jacket.

In the elbow area, reinforcements made of 100% nylon with a grammage of 210 g/m2 were used. They increase the resistance of the most exposed parts of the sleeves to abrasion, contact with the ground, and loads during field work.

The sleeves are equipped with pockets for elbow pads, closed with velcro, which allow compatible protective inserts to be installed.

The jacket is equipped with an extensive pocket system arranged on the front, inside the jacket, and on the sleeves:

• on the front there are 2 large pockets fastened with two-way zippers
• on the left side, inside the jacket, there is 1 large, elastic pocket made of mesh
• on the sleeves there are 2 pockets closed with zippers

In addition, the model features two-piece velcro panels measuring approx. 9,5 x 12 cm intended for attaching patches, emblems, and markings.

The jacket is fastened with a two-way zipper, which is equipped with a chin guard, an outer velcro-fastened flap, and pull tabs making operation easier while wearing gloves.

The model features a high stand-up collar that protects the neck against wind and cold. An adjustable hood is integrated into the collar and can be adjusted using elastic cords and cord locks.

Under the arms there are two-way ventilation zippers. They enable airflow adjustment during intense exertion, walking, field work, or use of the jacket in higher temperatures.

The cuffs have an elastic finish and additional velcro adjustment. The elastic element helps limit the entry of cold air into the sleeves, and the strap allows the circumference to be adjusted to the wrist and the layer worn underneath. The waist is equipped with an elastic drawstring adjustable with cord locks.
