Midland CB Alan-42 DS Handheld Radio

Midland Alan-42 DS handheld radio. A compact portable radio transceiver with a CB function and the ability to be quickly adapted for use in a car. The Alan-42 is equipped with automatic squelch and an automatic battery-saving system.

The radio is equipped with a large display that makes operation easier and shows the currently enabled functions. The Alan-42 DS provides operation at temperatures from - 10 to 55 °C.

In addition to the automatic squelch system, the radio also features a manual adjustment option (SQ). The transceiver also allows simultaneous monitoring of two frequencies (Dual Watch) and channel scanning. The Alan-42 DS is also equipped with NB/ABL interference filters, quick access to the EMG emergency channel, and a keypad lock option.

The radio is powered by six AA batteries or eight 1.2V rechargeable batteries (sold separately).
