I bought a small backpack because I don't always need a large capacity. This one is just right, small, but at the same time has a lot of compartments. The laser cut version looks really cool.
Mil-Tec Assault Pack Laser Cut Small Backpack 20 l - Phantomleaf WASP I Z2
Tactical backpack featuring a 20 l capacity. Constructed from tear-resistant polyester, the interior is reinforced with a PVC coating for enhanced moisture protection. Designed for tactical, survival, and daily use.
Utilizes a laser-cut loop system crafted from laminated polyester with precision laser-cut holes compatible with the MOLLE/PALS standard, rather than the conventional sewn-on PALS webbing for mounting extra pouches.
Two compartments, hydration system pocket
To accommodate essential gear, the backpack includes 2 spacious compartments equipped with dual-direction zippers. These zippers feature pull tabs for effortless use, even while wearing gloves. Full-length opening of the compartments ensures easy access to contents, while internal smaller dividers promote efficient organization of carried items.
Additional gear can be secured in the 2 front pockets. The upper section has a Velcro field designed for affixing patches or emblems. The larger, lower pocket is fitted with an organizer for small accessories. A hidden hydration system compartment is located on the back, secured with Velcro, and is also suitable for storing valuable equipment.
Comfortable carrying system with detachable hip belt
On the back, a layer of soft, ergonomically shaped EVA foam padding is covered with a breathable, high-comfort mesh fabric. The 5 cm wide adjustable shoulder straps deliver comfort and are fitted with vertical mounting straps, each featuring a D-ring for attaching extra gear, as well as a detachable waist belt. Compression straps with buckles are positioned along the sides and at the base of the backpack to facilitate compression and efficient packing.
Two slim, elongated pockets are found on the sides below the mounting slots. A robust carrying handle is positioned at the top.
Phantomleaf camouflage
WASP I represents a cutting-edge line of PHANTOMLEAF® CIV-TEC® camouflage, developed exclusively for MIL-TEC®. Created through sophisticated digital terrain analysis, PHANTOMLEAF® camouflage patterns are specifically engineered for the environments where they will be implemented. The algorithms used take into account variables such as movement, ensuring high adaptability to diverse operational conditions. Additionally, PHANTOMLEAF® patterns are distinct enough to provide clear friend-or-foe recognition, whether on the battlefield or during airsoft scenarios.
The WASP I Z2 variant excels in dry vegetation, steppe, and semi-desert landscapes, and is also well-suited for partially rocky environments. In temperate regions, effective use extends to forests and rural areas from late summer through late autumn. This variant offers a modern alternative to camouflage schemes such as MultiCam, Arid MC Camo, and Pentacamo.

LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.

Good quality backpack and also comfortable, works very well as hand luggage or for everyday use. Solid material and durable zippers. Worth recommending.
-
That was a great purchase. There is absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the quality. Convenient compartments and the ability to mount additional accessories. Initially, it was meant only for trips, but now I use it every day and it has replaced other backpacks or shoulder bags.

Very good backpack. Probably the best everyday purchase. The backpack is used daily for school and on weekends for airsoft. After several months of use, there are no signs of wear. The waterproof interior performs its function properly. Even during heavy rain, for instance, notebooks stay dry. If the current one falls apart, I will definitely buy the same one again because the price to quality ratio is the key to this backpack's success.
-
Great backpack with many compartments, comfortable, a lot of Velcro panels provide ample possibilities for adding accessories, and the compressors are very useful. The colors in the description can unfortunately be a bit misleading; I ordered all available colors, chose the best one, and returned the rest. I regret that it's not available in a light beige shade.

Great backpack, comfortable on the back and easy to pack. I bought it about 1.5 years ago and so far it’s worn great. I recommend it!

This is already my second backpack from Mil-Tec. Previously, I bought a 36-liter capacity for travel, the current 20-liter is more than enough to meet local needs. Both the first and the current backpack are worth recommending. Good and solid workmanship. Well... German precision.

So far, I haven't found any flaws. Solid, compact yet spacious, practical, and comfortable to wear. Good quality zippers. On top of that, it looks great. For this price, it's outstanding.

I was always irritated by the layout of mountain backpacks, with one large pocket and one small one. That's why the number of compartments and pouches in this backpack surprised me. You can perfectly sort everything, and opening the large pocket like a suitcase is incredibly useful: even if you have something at the very bottom, you can take it out without any problem. The ability to attach MOLLE pockets and pouches is a great addition. You definitely have to buy a patch with the Polish flag.

The material from which the backpack is made is very sturdy. The camouflage looks fantastic in real life. Very functional arrangement of compartments and pockets. Plus for the velcro straps for the belts and compression straps. Maybe a bit heavy, but that's due to the solid material.
-
For this price, the backpack is great. Previously I had the old version with classic molle straps. I used it for about 3 years before the zipper broke.
-
I would like to add that the backpack I received a few days ago already has a chest strap, which is not shown in the pictures and was very much missing in this model. Other than that, it is perfect for one-day mountain trips, cycling, or the shooting range. Thanks to the numerous straps, it can be either very small or quite spacious if necessary. And it can be further expanded with various attachable pockets and holders. AMAZING.
-
A big plus for the wide variety of color options and camouflage patterns. The backpack is quite sturdy. At this price, if you're looking for a backpack for occasional use, it's a good option.
-
That's what I was looking for. You can use the full capacity, and by using the straps you can reduce the volume according to the current load. Lots of pockets and compartments, you can plan the arrangement of your load well, protected from light rain :). It's easy to attach and secure it to a backpack.

The Mil-Tec Assault Pack 20l is the best "smaller backpack" I've ever had. Perfect for hiking, one- or two-day trips, and for creating a kit for longer outings. Thanks to the compartments and pockets, where you can organize everything neatly, there's no mess inside. Comfortable to wear. I recommend it.
