First of all: this is not a classic net, but a lightweight camouflage tarp. It has cut-outs resembling camouflage netting, which gives a subtle 3D camouflage effect. Phantomleaf camouflage patterns perform significantly better than most other solutions, especially compared to traditional single-color camouflage netting. If the color is properly matched to the surroundings and the weather, the camouflage effectiveness is very high even without additional natural concealment and the 3D effect. From a certain distance, detecting such concealment is unlikely unless someone is conducting deliberate and skilled observation. This allows you to quickly and quite effectively camouflage a position, a hide, or a supply dump. After adding a small amount of natural elements from the immediate surroundings, the visual effect becomes truly impressive. However, I did not have the opportunity to test the effectiveness of the camouflage in the NIR range.
