I have no complaints about the insulation, appearance, color, or quality of workmanship - a very nice sleeping bag. So why four stars? The first thing is that the hood could be better fitted and cover the head more, and the second, worse thing, is the width. I thought that 80 cm would be enough for me, but unfortunately it isn't - when fully zipped up, sleeping comfort is average, there's not enough space. Maybe for someone slimmer this sleeping bag will be perfect.
Mil-tec Mummy 500 g Sleeping Bag - Woodland
Rugged sleeping bag in Woodland camouflage, designed in a mummy-style shape for optimal sleeping posture and freedom of movement during rest. Constructed with premium polyester, offers a sturdy outer shell and is insulated with Hollow Fiber filling.
Temperature and usage conditions
polyester construction, soft lining
A durable outer shell made from PU-coated polyester offers reliable resistance to mechanical damage, abrasions, and moisture. Inside, a lining composed of cotton and polyester delivers a soft touch against the skin and promotes excellent breathability. These materials combine to make the sleeping bag ideal for demanding expeditions as well as relaxed camping.
Hollow Fiber filling
A double layer of Hollow Fiber polyester with a grammage of 500 g/m2 serves as the fill for the sleeping bag, distinguished by its light weight and excellent compressibility. The quilted construction effectively secures the fibers in place, guaranteeing uniform heat retention throughout. Furthermore, the insulation resists deformation, maintains its original loft, and ensures breathability for optimal air exchange. Even when subjected to moisture, repeated washing, or heavy usage, the insulation consistently preserves its thermal insulation properties. Designed to be hypoallergenic, the filling does not induce allergic reactions and is ideal for individuals sensitive to down.
Right-side zipper, protective strip
A two-way zipper positioned on the right side and secured with a Velcro flap provides reliable closure for the sleeping bag. An internal protective strip helps prevent fabric snags in the zipper and minimizes heat escape.
Integrated hood protecting against cold
Anatomically contoured hood offers enhanced protection against heat loss from the head. An adjustable drawstring minimizes thermal escape and boosts comfort during overnight stays in cold conditions. The integrated thermal collar serves as an effective barrier against cold air entering the sleeping bag.
Convenient transport and storage
Designed for optimal transport and storage efficiency. The sleeping bag compacts down to 45 x 45 x 68 cm and has a weight of 2000 g, ensuring straightforward portability.
Set elements
A functional compression sack comes with the sleeping bag, equipped with a snap buckle to secure the bag during transport and provide protection against dirt and potential damage.
Woodland camouflage
Woodland, often referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, represents a legendary camouflage pattern that was introduced to the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, drawing inspiration from the earlier ERDL design. Serving as the standard-issue pattern for the US military for more than twenty years, its use extended until the close of the first decade of the 21st century. Recognized by its prominent, irregular blotches in various shades of green, brown, beige, and black, the pattern excels at concealment and disruption, particularly in forested environments. The proven effectiveness and global reputation of Woodland have led to the creation of countless variants, now featured in over 60 different military uniforms worldwide. Its influence goes beyond the battlefield, leaving a significant mark on mainstream culture and seamlessly transitioning from military wear to everyday apparel.

Hollow Fiber is a type of synthetic fiber characterized by a hollow space inside the structure. Thanks to this solution, the fibers effectively retain air, which ensures high insulating properties without increasing the weight of the material. The fibers are lightweight, breathable and quick-drying, which is why they are widely used in thermal clothing, sleeping bags and outdoor equipment.

The sleeping bag is well-made and warm. I recommend it.
-
The sleeping bag fulfills its purpose. Durable material and zipper. Tested in a mountain hut at -3°C indoors.

The sleeping bag maintains a constant body temperature and easily wicks away moisture - good for winter nights, you don't even always have to turn on the heating. The zipper is heavy-duty, it bravely withstands my battles with it, but the sleeping bag also works as a blanket - without fastening.
