Woodland Camouflage

Woodland, frequently referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, represents a legendary camouflage pattern that was introduced to the US military in the early 1980s, drawing upon the design of the earlier ERDL pattern. For more than twenty years, it served as the standard issue camo for American forces, remaining in use until the close of the first decade of the 2000s. Featuring large, uneven shapes in green, brown, beige, and black, the pattern provides excellent concealment and distortion, particularly suited for forested environments. Owing to its proven effectiveness and widespread recognition, numerous adaptations have been created, adopted by over 60 military forces globally. Beyond military use, Woodland has deeply influenced pop culture, transitioning from a combat essential to a staple in everyday fashion.
