The blanket looks like old felt, thin and smelling of kerosene, how can Militaria sell something like this? I've never seen anything like it in my life. How could another reviewer write that the blanket is warm and thick?

Very nice blanket, I tested it in the forest by the campfire and it works great, protects from the cold, depending on how you arrange it you can catch the warmth of the fire, or if it's too hot on your knees you can isolate them. Wool protects against moisture, it doesn't get soaked if snow sticks to it. As for the smell - just wash it, it's not rocket science.

The blanket is big and heavy, well-made, not scratchy despite the wool content. It smells a bit like a warehouse, kind of oily, but it will probably air out in the forest. The symbol in the center is large, embroidered 22x22 cm. I recommend it, though it's a pity it's only 65% wool.

I absolutely do not recommend it. The blanket is rough, which could be a plus, if not for the fact that it smells unbearable and is simply unpleasant to the touch. Additionally—something not visible in the photos—there's a big embroidered "US ARMY" in the middle. It sort of matches the vibe, but for a blanket meant to serve all purposes (including beach, slope, public places) it's a bit embarrassing. It looks more like a prop than a real wool blanket.

The blanket is thick, heavy, and warm. Just as it should be. The quintessence of a military vibe, great for camping in the wild. The color is spot on, too. I recommend it to those looking for a wool blanket.
