In general, a windscreen is essential when using a gas burner; without it, we waste time and gas while cooking outdoors. It's made of delicate, thin aluminum, which makes it lightweight, although you have to be careful when packing it so as not to break it.

Nice shield. It provides good protection against wind for the stove, whether using cartridges or alcohol, allows for faster cooking and lower fuel consumption. The plates are thin, but I'm not going to build a bulletproof vest out of it, and importantly, there is no foil, just plain metal.
