The base is a great and simple lock. The carabiners from this company are iconic and expensive, even very. But, buy one and you will see. I've been using the black ones for a very long time, and the durability of the paint on an item that is constantly being rubbed is surprising, incredible. Overall, it's irrelevant for functionality, but it also matters.
