For me, this flashlight is like a dream. The batteries have a lot of power, and the light beam provides really very good illumination. I was afraid it would be awkward, but it is well balanced and comfortable to carry.
Enhanced successor to the Olight Marauder X7R flashlight, the Marauder 2 delivers two lighting modes—an expansive (Floodlight) beam produced by 12 high-performance Cool White LEDs combined with TIR optics, achieving up to 14,000 lumens, and a concentrated (Spotlight) beam powered by a large Cool White LED with a precision lens, delivering up to 850 lumens with a reach of 800 meters. The flashlight is also equipped with a power bank capability, enabling convenient charging of electronic devices via its USB-C port.
The flashlight features a body constructed from A6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, finished with a Type III hard anodized coating in black. A partially rubberized grip provides a reliable hold, even when hands are wet or dirty. Waterproofing to the IPX8 standard—offering protection during continuous submersion up to 2 meters—is ensured by the integrated O-ring seal system.
Additional protection for the flashlight head is provided by a front-facing steel crown. This robust design allows for impact resistance against drops from heights of up to 1 meter. A dedicated hole on the body enables the attachment of a lanyard or security cord.

The proximity sensor activates when detecting a nearby solid object, automatically reducing the brightness in Turbo modes. User safety is enhanced by preventing excessive exposure to intense light, thereby protecting eyesight.
Located on the flashlight's body is a switch that allows seamless toggling between diffused and focused illumination (Floodlight/Spotlight). An advanced multi-function rotary button makes it possible to choose from 7 brightness levels, lock or unlock the device, and instantly access Turbo and Strobe functions. To engage Turbo mode, press the button twice rapidly; for strobe mode, press it three times in quick succession. Unlocking the flashlight requires a swift 90-degree rotation of the button. Surrounding micro-diodes serve to display battery status as well as indicate the selected brightness intensity.
Advanced electronics form the backbone of the flashlight, efficiently managing power distribution to the LEDs. This technology ensures consistent brightness in the chosen mode until the battery is fully drained. An electronic system, Active Thermal Management, protects the diodes from overheating at the highest output, automatically adjusting the current based on the selected mode and maintaining stable light at 3200 lumens in Floodlight mode and 650 lumens in Spotlight mode. After power down, once the flashlight has cooled and is switched back on, maximum brightness is restored. The electronics also handle seamless mode transitions and retain memory of the last mode used.
Equipped with three integrated 21700 batteries delivering a combined capacity of 5000 mAh and an output of 10.8 V, the flashlight achieves 54 Wh of power. Featuring a USB-C port, the device doubles as a power bank. The charging port is positioned at the base of the flashlight. To reveal the port, rotate the bottom ring counterclockwise, exposing the USB-C cover. For secure closure, twist the ring clockwise to conceal the charging port.

Active Thermal Management is an advanced electronic system used in Olight flashlights that protects the LED from overheating when operating in the highest mode. The system monitors the temperature and, if it detects an excessive increase in temperature, automatically reduces the output of the flashlight, thus reducing the amount of heat generated. The system not only helps extend the life of the flashlight, but also improves safety and contributes to the efficient use of energy.
For me, this flashlight is like a dream. The batteries have a lot of power, and the light beam provides really very good illumination. I was afraid it would be awkward, but it is well balanced and comfortable to carry.
With this flashlight, you really have to be careful :D Fortunately, it has a proximity sensor. I've never seen anything like it before, and people's reactions are interesting :) A flashlight for special tasks.
The amount of light this flashlight gives is beyond words. I've never seen anything like it before. Plus, it has a spot and flood mode, can be used as a power bank, it's built tough, and protected against overheating. Awesome.
This is a lantern, not a flashlight. Heavy but very nicely balanced, great and intuitive controls. Big plus for the proximity sensor, which reduces the light output. I recommend it!!
The flashlight is definitely worth recommending. It's heavy, well-balanced, and very handy. Big plus for the closing charging port. The light at the strongest mode shines phenomenally, it's just a pity it's so short. In two words: a serious flashlight.
Great flashlight, shines powerfully, easy charging, and it's all metal. Bought quickly because it was urgently needed, but despite that, it's a real hit in terms of functionality.
The packaging is excellent and top-notch, but why bother since most of the foil, papers, rubber bands, plastic caps, and cardboard are single-use and then pollute the environment. Personally, I'm against it, but marketing-wise, it creates the intended premium impression. The flashlight (this one, the Marauder mini, and X9R—I own all of them, even several of each) are made to the highest standard. Flawless. It's worth considering if you need focused lighting (in that case, the Javelot or Javelot Turbo series outshines the Marauders) or wide—then the Marauder 2, mini, and X9R are brilliant for this, and the spot mode is a valuable and useful addition (only in the mini and Marauder 2 versions, as the X9R doesn't have this mode). Another thing. Do we buy a Bugatti Veyron to know its top speed but only drive it for 10-12 minutes because that's how long a full tank lasts, or do we need something for longer distances? In that case, the practical level of flashlight use is 2-3 levels below maximum, and it's worth keeping that in mind because, at the highest mode, Olight's level is good for a momentary light boost but not for SAR or tactical operations lasting more than a few minutes. It's worth looking at the operating temperature and whether it will be useful to you, because these are important limitations, especially in our latitude, where long nights fall in the winter. This is not a trivial aspect. Similarly, don't be drawn in just by the lumens, but check if the candela (Cd) level is/will be sufficient. The Marauder 2 has twice the candela as the X9R, which translates into light range. Despite criticism of the square/rectangular light beam, I personally think it's the best solution, although initially surprising—surprising, but you can quickly get used to it, and the fact of even object lighting without reflections from a round beam (which starts at your feet and causes secondary blinding from reflections) is very important—with such a setup, the practical range is exactly as specified. The only complaint with the Marauder 2, a brilliant flashlight (and probably the most practical and versatile of the three), is the included wrist strap. The shortened version is definitely too long (and I'm over 190 cm tall), and I don't know what the extended version is for since wearing it over the shoulder is impractical and uncomfortable. I bought a small S-Biner carabiner at Militaria and attach it to my belt, which works great. A belt holster would be nice, as with the Mini, but I guess they found it too big for the belt. Works fine for me. Thoroughly recommend the flashlight, considering the points above, and I encourage Militaria to offer an optional case/box for carrying, like with the X9R model. As I mentioned, it's the best and most versatile flashlight of the three (and also most Olights I have), and I only hope the battery lasts long, because it's non-replaceable.
Good purchase, I recommend it!
Simply a monster, very bright, I recommend it especially if you are looking for something to spot something or someone at a distance, for example in the forest.
I'm really impressed by the power of this flashlight. The brightness is comparable to car high beams.
Amazing device. I expected this because I use the Seeker 2, but I'm still shocked by its capabilities. I mainly use it at sea while sailing. Entering the port at night with the Marauder 2 is almost like daytime :) The range and power are brilliant!
Great quality, great workmanship, powerful light.
Great equipment, but it's hard to hold in your hand – large size and considerable weight do their job.
Blast :) At this price, you probably won't find anything better or even as good. The ability to shine both wide and far and narrow is impressive. Charges quickly. After charging, remember to close the port. Online you can find info on how to disable the power limiting mode when obstacles are detected (useful in heavy rain, the flashlight thinks the scene is near and reduces power). If I remember correctly, you need to click the knob quickly 15 times so it doesn't reduce power.
It's great. Heavy, but solid equipment. The gunmetal grey color looks awesome.
