Olight Marauder 3 Rechargeable Flashlight with Power Bank Function 25000 Lumens, 1050 m Range - Orange

A high-power flashlight with compact dimensions. An upgraded version of the Olight Marauder 2 flashlight. The Marauder 3 model offers 3 types of light beam. A wide beam (Floodlight), generated by 16 high-performance Cool White LEDs with TIR optics, providing output of up to 25000 lumens. A focused beam (Spotlight), generated by a large Cool White LED with a lens, providing output of up to 1500 lumens and a range of up to 1050 meters, and a combined beam (Floodlight + Spotlight). Additionally, the flashlight has a power bank function, allowing other electronic devices to be charged via the USB-C port.

Active Thermal Management

The flashlight body is made of A6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum coated with hard type III anodizing in orange. The silicone grip ensures a secure hold. The O-ring sealing system provides waterproofness to the IPX8 standard (ensuring resistance to continuous immersion at a depth of up to 2 meters).

Additionally, the front of the flashlight head is protected by a steel bezel. The model is resistant to drops from heights of up to 1 meter. There is a hole on the body for attaching a lanyard/safety cord.

switch, rotary button, micro LEDs

There is a switch on the flashlight body, used to select the light beam (Floodlight, Spotlight, Floodlight+Spotlight). Selection of one of the 8 brightness levels, locking/unlocking, and instant access to Turbo and Strobe modes are provided by an innovative, multifunctional rotary button. Turbo mode is activated by quickly pressing the button twice, while strobe mode is activated by pressing the button three times. To unlock the flashlight, the button must be rotated dynamically by 90 degrees. Around it are micro LEDs that indicate the battery charge level and the currently selected brightness level. Below the switches there is an LED display showing the remaining runtime in the current mode.

intelligent electronic systems

The heart of the flashlight is advanced electronics controlling the current supplied to the LEDs. Thanks to this, the flashlight shines in the selected mode at the same power until the battery is completely depleted. The LEDs are protected against overheating by the electronic Active Thermal Management system, which, depending on the selected mode, reduces the current intensity and stabilizes the light at 3500 lumens for Floodlight mode, 800 lumens in Spotlight mode, and 3750 lumens in Floodlight + Spotlight mode. After switching the flashlight off, allowing it to cool down, and switching it on again, the flashlight will once again shine in maximum mode. The electronics are also responsible for activating the work modes and memorizing the last used mode.

built-in battery, usb-c port, power bank function

The flashlight is powered by a built-in 46950 battery with a total capacity of 31900 mAh and a voltage of 3.7 V, which translates to 118 Wh. Thanks to the use of a bidirectional 30W USB-C port, it can also serve as a power bank. The charging port is located under a cover on the side of the flashlight head. Additionally, the set includes a USB-C cable and a hanging cord with charging function.

Active Thermal Management is an advanced electronic system used in Olight flashlights that protects the LED from overheating when operating in the highest mode. The system monitors the temperature and, if it detects an excessive increase in temperature, automatically reduces the output of the flashlight, thus reducing the amount of heat generated. The system not only helps extend the life of the flashlight, but also improves safety and contributes to the efficient use of energy.

    25k lumens turns night into day. After overheating, the output drops to 5k, which is still a very great result, as indicated by the red diode. Size like an energy drink can. WOW flashlight. Advantages: -25k momentary -5k continuous -118Wh power bank I found a few drawbacks: -no magnetic MCC charging (it would charge for ages, but that is the Olight system) -the 118Wh battery is too large, which under current regulations disqualifies it from being taken on board an airplane, whether in the cabin or in luggage. This flashlight cannot fly on a passenger plane. -poor holster design. Something can get between the holster and the flashlight and scratch it. -no space for the holster in the case. What I would change: -I would add a side light and a red one like in the Marauder 2 Mini. -I would reduce the battery to 99Wh so that the flashlight could be transported by plane. -a different holster design.
