The packaging is great and of the highest quality, but why bother since most of the film, papers, rubber bands, plastic caps, and cardboard is single-use and then litters the environment. Personally, I am against it, but marketing-wise it creates the intended premium impression. The case is great, though it could be much smaller because there's too much empty space inside. The flashlight (this one as well as Marauder 2 and the mini - I have them all) is made to the highest standard. No complaints. It's worth considering whether you need focused lighting (then the Javelot or Javelot Turbo series beats the X9R, especially since the X9R does not have such a mode) or wide - then Marauder 2 or X9R are brilliant for this. Another thing: Do you buy a Bugatti Veyron just to know the maximum speed but drive it for only 10-12 minutes because that's how long a full tank lasts, or do you need something for longer distances? In that case, the practical level of use is even 3-4 levels below the maximum and it's worth considering this because at the highest level the Olight is good for showing off (and bragging that you have it) but not for SAR or tactical operations (that's why I think my Marauder 2 is definitely more versatile and handy). Moreover, at 25,000 lm (or even half), you need crystal clear air, otherwise you'll see dust, insects, water vapor in the air, and the practical effectiveness noticeably decreases because suddenly it turns out how much junk we have in the air. It's worth checking the working temperature and if it will be useful for us because those are significant limitations, especially in our latitudes when long nights occur in winter. It’s not negligible. Similarly, don’t just consider lumens, but check if the candela level is/will be sufficient (e.g., the Marauder 2 has twice the candela level, which gives it more range). And before buying, take 2kg dumbbells and see how handy the flashlight will be to carry. As a gadget collector, I bought it and I’m super happy, but as a portable flashlight (not one you drive around with), I would think several times because it’s just heavy and with every kilometer traveled even heavier - regardless of the comfortable strap. To sum up, IMHO I think the flashlight is kind of "art for art's sake." SAR actions from the air/helicopter or in mountainous terrain (when the beam doesn’t fall straight at your feet) are totally legit. Lighting for night photography too. But on flat terrain and with a round beam (personally, I’d go for some kind of aperture or rectangular beam shape like in the Marauder 2), at high settings, the closest area to you is “burned” by the amount of light and as a result you are blinded, which means you see less at greater distances (maybe that’s why all the X9R promo photos are either from a car roof or illuminating neighboring mountain tops). Raising the flashlight up to reduce the light falling at your feet makes no sense.
Olight X9R Marauder Rechargeable Flashlight - 25000 lumens
Delivering exceptionally high illumination, the searchlight boasts a 25000-lumen output generated by 6 Cree XHP70.2 LEDs. Operated by an integrated lithium-ion battery (8x18650), the flashlight’s impressive performance is made possible in part by the use of individual lens-collimators for each LED, replacing the conventional reflector design. A broad, evenly dispersed beam reaches an effective distance of up to 630 m.
Made of aircraft-grade aluminum, steel crown
Constructed from А6061-Т6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the body undergoes a black Type III hard anodized finish for enhanced durability. A sealed O-ring system ensures all joints remain fully waterproof. A steel crown on the front of the flashlight head delivers added protection. Engineered to withstand drops from heights up to 1 meter, the robust build meets the manufacturer's stringent impact resistance standards. For added convenience, the body incorporates a retractable ring for securing a lanyard or safety cord.
Proximity sensor, lowering power
The proximity sensor activates upon close interaction with a solid object, and in Turbo modes, automatically reduces the light output to a secure level. User safety is prioritized, shielding your eyes from overly intense exposure to powerful light sources.
XHP70.2 LED, active thermal management
At the heart of the flashlight are advanced electronics that manage current consumption supplied to the XHP70.2 LED. This technology ensures the flashlight delivers consistent output in the selected mode until the battery is fully discharged. An advanced electronic system, Active Thermal Management, safeguards the LED from overheating in the highest brightness setting by reducing the current after 3 or 10 minutes, depending on the chosen mode, and maintains the light at 6400 lumens. After switching off the flashlight and allowing it to cool, maximum mode becomes available again upon restart. The electronics also handle mode switching and retain memory of the last mode used.
Waterproof, ribbed head
Engineered to comply with the IPX7 waterproof rating, the flashlight withstands submersion in water up to 1 meter deep for a duration of 30 minutes. A ribbed bezel promotes optimal heat dissipation, safeguarding the internal electronics against overheating. Supplied with a waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof case, an integrated battery pack (8x 18650), a shoulder strap, a mains charger, and a car charger.
Charging port, 5-position indicator
Charging port can be found on the flashlight’s body by lifting the protective cover. The body is also equipped with a 5-position LED indicator for battery charge and discharge status, along with a mode indicator.

I already own several Olight flashlights, but this one exceeded my wildest expectations. It is definitely worth the money; car high beams pale in comparison. The case is really nice and durable, and the car lighter charger is very useful.

Man, even the sun pales in comparison to this.

WOW The flashlight is amazing. Very solidly made and the power with which it shines is incredible. Even the box in which we receive the flashlight, sorry - the case - shows that we are dealing with a top-shelf product. I recommend it.

How big it is... Now you can tell your wife it's a "flashlight" because you're afraid of the dark. This flashlight will turn night into day :D
-
Super cool flashlight but the price too
-
It lights up half the village, awesome
-
Warning... This is not a drill... toy only for adults, fire - it burns grass.

Hello. I ordered the X9R and expected a powerful flashlight. After the package was delivered, I opened a large, solid case, and that was the first surprise regarding the size not of a flashlight but a reflector of such power it's hard to describe. Car headlights hide in comparison.

What a powerhouse, it's not cheap, but if someone works at night, they will be very satisfied. 100% satisfaction.

WOW!!! What a beast :). From a distance of 200 meters at night, it turns night into day. The equipment is very solid and refined, for me, worth the price. I recommend! Militaria.pl

Fantastic flashlight. Very strong light beam. The convenient strap for carrying it is useful and comfortable. Unfortunately, it did not arrive in factory condition, lacking protection on the glass and battery.

The flashlight is perfectly made, a grail among this type of equipment. It is currently the most powerful flashlight in my collection. It shines very strongly and quite widely. If you haven't experienced such power, you have to see it to believe it. Currently, there are much more powerful flashlights, but not as well made and practical, e.g., fast battery charging without removing the batterypack. I recommend it, although it could be a bit cheaper ;)
