The knife becomes more useful with each use. Apart from technical tasks, it turned out to be a handy tool in a somewhat limited hotel kitchenette while traveling. Finally, there was something to cut rolls and sausage for sandwiches, because the hotel does not provide cutlery due to the presence of a restaurant, and it's always nice to have a snack with coffee.
A lightweight, medium-sized folding knife featuring a 63 mm blade. Outfitted with a Clip-Point profile, the blade is constructed from 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel and sports a semi-matte finish. Precision with a full-flat grind and a slender blade thickness ensures outstanding cutting performance.
Opening the knife is facilitated by a convenient notch located on the blade.
Ergonomically contoured, the handle is crafted from beech wood for a reliable, comfortable grip. A unique benefit of the handle lies in its adaptability for personal modification and customization: it can be textured, carved, or stained in a color of your choice. The wooden design also enables a hole to be created at the rear, suitable for attaching a safety cord.

Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.

Sharp small knife, easy to open, comfortable to use. The blade lock could be better; during normal cutting the blade stays in place, but when cutting, for example, an electric tie, the blade can close, so it's recommended to watch your fingers.
