I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but based on first impressions, they seem OK. The socks are warm and fit well on the foot. Knowing the quality of PENTAGRAM socks, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
Pentagon Alpine Merino Heavy Socks - Olive
High olive-colored socks crafted from a warm fabric featuring 40% Merino wool, known for its outstanding thermoactive performance. Merino wool efficiently draws moisture away from the skin and offers natural antibacterial protection. An inner layer of terry cloth ensures optimal comfort and insulation, making these socks ideal for autumn and winter wear in colder climates.
materials used
Socks made from a blend of materials that ensure comfort, durability, and functionality. The composition is as follows:
- 40% Merino wool – a natural fiber with excellent thermal and antibacterial properties that effectively wicks away moisture and regulates foot temperature.
- 40% acrylic – a synthetic fiber that provides softness, lightness, and durability, helping the socks retain their shape.
- 17% polyamide – strengthens the fabric’s structure and increases resistance to abrasion and stretching.
- 3% elastane – an additive responsible for elasticity, a snug fit, and comfort, keeping the socks in place during movement.
Anatomic cut, flat seams, reinforcements
The Heavy model features an anatomical fit and elastic inserts in the center of the sole, ensuring that the socks fit snugly on the foot. The flat seams minimize the risk of chafing and do not irritate the skin, making them ideal for long hikes.
In areas prone to faster wear or tearing, such as the toes and heel, additional reinforcements in the form of a thicker layer of fabric have been added.
Main features
- The anatomical fit and elastic inserts ensure a good fit to the shape of the foot
- quick-drying fabric
- made from 40% Merino wool

Very solid and warm socks. Very comfortable. They wick moisture from the foot well. I used them last weekend in the mountains and they are simply amazing. I recommend them to everyone.
-
The price is high, but the quality makes up for it. Very comfortable for field service. They keep warmth very well and your feet don't sweat. Combined with good shoes, it's really excellent. I recommend 5/5

I recommend them for working in a freezer. You don't feel the stillness in them, true story; breaks are needed only after over 2 hours, and unfortunately I can't stand that long. It's definitely also a matter of fully insulated work boots, which I received from above, it's more common to save money on accessories like gloves, neck warmer/balaclava/hat, things you can even lose. The uncovered retrak - you can feel the cold in the left foot, especially in the frontal part, when sitting for a long time. I recommend the socks, a mix you wouldn't regret daily, I can't imagine a negligible blend. In the field, on duty, I don't know, I guess shoes are the basic, or for a Sunday trip.

The socks turned out to be thinner than I expected, but they work well on short routes. I walked several tourist trails and my feet were warm and comfortable for about 16 kilometers. At this price, it's hard to complain – in my opinion, they are a great value.
-
Comfortable and quite warm socks, but I wouldn't call them winter socks. They are very long but rather thin (for winter socks), so I would say they're more suited for early autumn.
-
Great socks, although the name may be misleading; even though it says 'heavy', they're not very thick. The merino wool makes a real difference during longer hikes. For me, they are also suitable for sleeping outdoors, though that's an individual preference.
-
Pentagon socks, although labeled heavy, aren't as thick as winter ones, but they keep feet warm, don't make your feet sweat, don't squeeze your calves, yet they stay in place and don't slip down. Complete professionalism.
-
These socks are a great option for colder days. They are thick, warm, and very comfortable, but at the same time, they breathe well, so your feet don't sweat excessively. Thanks to merino wool, they retain heat even in humid conditions, and the extra reinforcements make them durable and strong.
-
Comfortable and warm winter socks. Thanks to the merino wool content, your feet don't sweat and there's no unpleasant smell. Express shipping. Regards!
-
Interesting product. But you can't see from the photo that the socks are very high. In my case, they are almost knee-highs. You should pay attention to this when purchasing.
-
A very good product from Pentagon, they are thick and very warm, just right for colder days. Combined with good shoes, the comfort for your feet is really high.
-
For this amount of merino wool, they keep a good standard. Of course, socks with a higher merino content are even better, but these fulfill their purpose well in this price range.
-
I highly recommend these very comfortable and warm socks for training in the mountains. I recommend the store militaria.pl—fast delivery and high product quality. The price is reasonable for the quality of the product.
-
The sock is comfortable, easy to put on, and the material feels pleasant to the touch. It does not tighten the calf thanks to its great design. I tested it properly—in temperatures down to -3°C, it held up well against the cold, and at this price it's definitely worth it. That's why I recommend others to buy it without worry.
