I usually have mixed feelings about rain jackets, because most of the time they are only really useful in summer. When it gets colder or windier, you need to bring an extra fleece, and in higher temperatures it is easy to sweat in them. Most often, I wear them only when I get caught in a sudden rain shower on the way. I also have other jackets that protect against rain, but they are insulated, so they cannot be folded down to a small size and packed into a backpack. The Hurricane model by Pentagon eliminates some of these inconveniences. It is a year-round rain jacket to which fleeces of different thicknesses can be attached, or it can be worn without them. It has large underarm ventilation openings, is made from sturdy material, and can be folded easily. I can fit it into a backpack without any trouble, and when worn, it looks really good.
