Pentagon Odos Tactical 8 2.0 WaterProof Boots Black

Odos Tactical 8 version 2.0 rugged tactical boots in black provide reliable performance for uniformed services including the Army, Police, and Border Guard. Ideal as all-purpose urban or off-road footwear.

8" leather upper and 1200D nylon, over-molded sole

The high-cut upper, measuring 8” in length, is crafted from a blend of natural leather and 1200D nylon, delivering robust protection to both foot and ankle against injury and impact. Featuring low-profile metal lace grommets, these boots enable rapid and efficient lacing. Reinforced security at the toe and heel comes from an extra layer of the rubber sole overlapped in these areas. Such reinforcement effectively shields against direct blows from curbs, exposed armor, large rocks, or roots, helping to prevent injuries.

Hydroguard Membrane

Constructed from advanced materials, the footwear offers superior water resistance. The breathable and waterproof Hydroguard membrane ensures optimal air flow and reliable thermal regulation. A cushioned EVA foam insole keeps feet dry and helps prevent the formation of corns.

Non-slip, cushioned sole

Reliable stability across challenging terrain is ensured by a rubber sole that is non-slip, cushioned, and oil-resistant, featuring a molded tread that offers excellent grip on a variety of surfaces.

Main features

  • Hydroguard membrane ensures complete waterproof protection
  • Upper constructed from premium natural leather combined with durable nylon fabric
  • Sole features an overlapping section for extra durability and enhanced protection
  • EVA foam insole delivers superior cushioning
  • Reinforced toe and heel zones for added resistance to impact and abrasion

Hydroguard membrane

Shoes of poor quality, did not last even two autumn-winter seasons. The leather cracked despite using products like polishes and waterproofing agents, and the sole came apart after 4 months of use. Not worth this price.

I have had these shoes for over 2 years and I am very satisfied, but now I have to buy a new pair. I want to point out that the shoes are very comfortable and have never given me blisters (even when running, often while the shoes were wet), even though I use them on many training grounds. The shoes fit perfectly and look great. After about a year, the seam at the back of the shoe under the company logo gave way—not a problem for use but it looks bad visually. After 2 years, the shoe started to come apart at the ankle bend, leaving a small hole (for now), and unfortunately the sole began to detach, so I am forced to buy a new pair.

I have already bought a second pair and the last one. The shoes are comfortable and resistant to weather conditions. However, in both pairs after about a year, the heels start to fray due to the rubber logo sewn on the heel. The shoes were used while on patrol, so they were worn a lot in various circumstances. Unfortunately, this flaw makes them unsuitable for further use, which is a shame because I would buy them again.

Pentagon Odos shoes are really a solid choice for people looking for comfortable and durable footwear. I think their build quality is on a high level – they are well finished, made of solid materials.

Unfortunately, the designer of Pentagon footwear did not take into account people with so-called high insteps. The shoes look okay, though there's not much leather and a lot of synthetics. And the issue with high insteps is important.

After a month of wearing these shoes, I think they are really very good. I had Merrell Moab 2 shoes before, and in my opinion, in terms of comfort while putting them on and taking them off, even though the Pentagons do not have zippers, they are much easier to put on and take off than the Merrells. The overall usage is at a similar level, and as for the durability of the waterproof membrane, I can't really comment yet on the Pentagons. The Merrells started leaking water after about 2-3 months, so I will give a more precise opinion on these shoes in about 2 months. The construction itself gives the impression of solid and durable shoes. Once they break in, they're not as stiff anymore, but they still hold the foot well. For me, they're suitable for the mountains, forest, and city alike. So far, shoes worthy of recommendation!

The shoes look solid, but beware the sizing!!! Pay attention to the insole length, not the size. I have to exchange mine from size 41 to 43, which is much bigger. Overall, the shoes are not heavy, just right, have a nice insole. Big plus for the height and shape of the upper and toe protection.

Professional boots, good quality and well made. They are light, decent high boots that have proven themselves in the field. The size is perfect, I wear 43 every day and it's the same here. Comfortable, no problems with water, they do not leak. I honestly recommend them to others; excellent product.

Purchased for my son in a uniformed class. After two months of use, they are really in good condition. They've already been on field trips and some ASG skirmishes. For now, no major signs of use. The sizing fits perfectly. The foot doesn't sweat too much, and so far water from outside hasn't gotten in.

After about a half-hour motorcycle ride on a wet road, in rain of varying intensity, the shoes did get wet. The socks inside were unfortunately wet. The shoes are comfortable, but since they let water in, unfortunately, they are useless to me.

So far, so good. They look great. They do not leak. Unfortunately, the sizing is too large. The insole length provided is not correct. You have to order bigger ones. The Greeks probably have small feet. I also bought pants, and they're nothing like the same size from Helikon.

  14. R...

The sizing runs small, so instead of 42, 44 fit best, but that's a matter of preference and individual predisposition. As for me, well made. The shoes look like they won't break in easily, but so far they fit and hold the feet very well. Pleasant shock absorption in the sole. For the price, I recommend.

The shoes are well made for an affordable price. A minus for the smaller sizing. You have to buy a size larger to make sure your foot feels comfortable. I will have to take mine to a cobbler to stretch them because I thought they would break in on their own, and that was a mistake.
