The backpack itself is generally OK – it is roomy, comfortable, and has a practical pocket layout. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is the zippers. After not very long use, the zipper sliders started coming away from the base (and this is already my second backpack like this, because I had to return the first one under warranty for the same reason), which means the backpack loses its basic functionality and it becomes difficult to use the compartments normally. For this type of backpack, I would definitely expect much better workmanship in such a critical area. It’s a pity, because apart from that the backpack is quite a successful product. If the quality of the zipper attachment were improved, the rating would definitely be higher.

Two compartments, two pockets

Molle straps and velcro panel, compression straps
The Tac Maven Assault variant is equipped with classic MOLLE/PALS straps on the front pockets. A velcro panel is also featured on the front, enabling quick attachment of patches or emblems like a Morale Patch.
Side compression straps—two on each side—make it easy to adjust the external dimensions of the backpack to match the load being carried. Tightening the straps helps flatten the backpack when the main compartment is empty and smaller pockets are loaded, thereby enhancing stability during movement. Moreover, the compression straps can serve as mounting points to attach additional gear, such as a jacket, sleeping pad, tarp, or sleeping bag.

I bought it with a bug-out bag in mind. It is the right size and turns out to be very functional thanks to its numerous, spacious pockets. Although it looks inconspicuous at first glance, it easily holds quite a lot. I was positively surprised by the strap underneath for attaching a sleeping mat, which was not mentioned in the description. As for the downsides, I would point to the thin and asymmetrical hip belt — it is hard to tell whether something is missing from it or whether it is simply an unusual design solution. The material itself, the stitching, and the zipper all seem more solid than in my Ares 40L, which has no hip belt, has too many pockets, and uses less durable fabrics. Overall, I am satisfied both with this brand and with the purchase itself.

This backpack is exceptionally well made. It has many compartments and a MOLLE system. The material is resistant to wear, and the straps do not chafe the shoulders.
