Camouflage MultiCam
MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design, created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in partnership with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The primary objective was to develop a highly adaptable pattern that delivers optimal concealment across diverse terrains and fluctuating environmental settings. Utilizing a palette of seven distinct colors, the MultiCam pattern features smooth gradient shifts between greens, browns, and beiges. These transitions enable the pattern to effectively blend with its surroundings, displaying greener hues in wooded landscapes and earth tones in arid or desert zones. In Central and Eastern Europe, its performance excels during autumn and within dry vegetation. Internationally acclaimed, MultiCam is employed by a wide range of military organizations and special operations forces. Official adoption by the US Army occurred in 2010 for personnel in Afghanistan, where it replaced the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian availability of the pattern has also fueled its popularity among outdoor, military, and airsoft enthusiasts.
