The photo is very misleading. The product is made of plastic. It's perfect for loose beaches. The grip is square and thick so it's very uncomfortable after two hours of beachcombing. It's not suitable for wet or denser sand. It's hard to push in. If it were made of metal or had a sharper front it would be much better.
