I bought these shoes in 2022. I have been wearing them practically every day since then. Used in field conditions on film sets. At the beginning, when I had to walk about 30km in the forest every day, they caused a lot of pain, blisters, and difficulties. However, after breaking them in (in the first 3 months I walked almost 1800km), they performed excellently. I'm in my fourth year with them, and now they are already worn out and need to be replaced due to cracked leather and hygiene reasons. Despite the difficulties at the beginning, I highly recommend these shoes!
Protektor Grom Boots Black
Protektor Grom boots represent professional footwear engineered for military and tactical operations. Their design draws upon established tactical footwear models, ensuring they are a superior option for uniformed personnel who require robust, comfortable, and highly functional boots. Tailored for movement across a range of urban environments, these boots deliver essential stability and protection during fast-paced operational scenarios.
High leather upper
The boot upper is crafted from full-grain cowhide leather, valued for its exceptional flexibility and resistance to abrasion. Integrated panels of impregnated nylon further fortify the structure and provide optimal airflow. A high-cut upper concludes in a velour-padded soft collar, enhancing comfort and protecting calves from chafing. With a collar height of 50 mm at the rear, the design offers foot stabilization and effective injury prevention.
Foot protection and support during movement
An extra layer of leather and rubber reinforces the heel and toe areas of these boots, overlapping the sole for enhanced resistance to bruising. The feet remain well-shielded from impacts with curbs, protruding armor elements, stones, or other solid obstacles. Comprehensive protection for both the inner and outer sides of the foot minimizes the risk of injury, a vital feature during demanding activities on rough terrain. A high, integrated tongue offers additional defense against water penetration during splashes, ensuring superior protection for the feet in wet environments.
Flexible PU sole
The sole is crafted from polyurethane (PU/PU), delivering superior flexibility, exceptional resistance to abrasion, and protection against oils, greases, as well as diluted acids and alkalis. Engineered with a specialized tread pattern, the sole offers reliable grip across diverse urban terrains including asphalt, concrete, paving stones, gravel, and sand. Owing to its advanced design, the sole ensures smooth and secure movement on both level and inclined surfaces, such as stairs and ladders. The presence of a 13 mm heel provides additional stability, a crucial asset when traversing uneven ground.
Antistatic and slip-resistant features of the sole further enhance safety on slippery terrain. Direct injection molding firmly bonds the sole to the upper, guaranteeing the overall durability and strength of the boot’s construction.
Certified NATO workmanship
Protektor S.A., the producer of Grom boots, possesses the AQAP 2110:2006 certification, which verifies compliance with NATO standards for quality and performance in military footwear. For people looking for cheap, lightweight shoes – it's worth it. Advantages: + low weight + genuinely comfortable + you can jog and run in them without worrying about chafing Disadvantages: - not suitable for rainy days or forest paths, as they collect water through the membrane - I had three pairs, and the soles cracked near the toe of the shoe in all three between the 11th and 12th month of use Overall, these are decent shoes, but definitely not good, as they do not withstand NORMAL use for long enough.

I bought them in December 2023 for my son as another pair, because he was very satisfied with the first ones. The first Gromy have already been through quite a lot, but they turned out perfect. He didn't take much care of them. But apart from being scratched, they protect feet very well. The foot does not get tired after many hours of walking in the forest and mountains. They work well in transitional seasons and in winter. My son highly recommends them.

I bought them in August 2024 and I can already confidently say that these are the best shoes I've ever had. They work well both in 30°C heat and in winter conditions. They fit both OSP barracks uniforms and jeans. If you impregnate them, water and snow are no problem. Super versatile shoes.

Another pair, great value for the price. Used daily, mainly in the city. Quite light and very comfortable. I recommend them, for this price many people in my unit use them.

The price has increased and I'm considering changing the model at this point, but after a year of intensive use, I can say that for the price of 260 PLN, these boots are a dream. Much has already been written about them and I can confirm it all. Warm, waterproof. If you take care of them, I think you'll get 2/3 years of daily use and then a new model, which I rate as a great result.

The shoes are just great. Comfortable, dry feet even when stepping into a puddle. The price has gone up now, but when I bought them for 300 PLN, I really regret not getting another pair. They're just great.

Bought for longer forest trips. They work very well, durable, do not let in water. Great material and a Polish company, which is also a plus. I would just recommend buying insoles, because during longer hikes you get blisters.

The boots withstand activities in difficult terrain. They allow you to walk safely on ground full of stones, sticks, etc. They are high, so they protect quite a large surface. They are comfortable and even several hours of wearing them does not cause much fatigue.
-
Terrible shoes, zero cushioning, after a short march feet and toes hurt as if after a many-hour trek in difficult terrain. This is my opinion and several friends' who also use them. Apparently, the black Grom models were completely different, comfortable, and eagerly purchased. I do not recommend these brown ones.
-
Bought over a year ago, I wore them in the Egyptian desert at 40 degrees: they worked. Winter at -10, thick socks: they worked. It's not the perfect choice for either situation, but for 300 PLN (the price I paid), they performed well. They're reasonably waterproof, although they let water in above the ankles. They are comfortable to walk in, at least 25km without a problem, probably another 10km with insoles.

A very pleasant surprise, very comfortable and light shoes, they fit well on the foot... For years I used Haix... but whatever, reading users' opinions I decided to try and as I wrote, a big surprise. I recommend!

Unfortunately, there is something wrong with the sizing. I have a pair from the same company but in black and with a membrane, bought about 6 years ago, size 43, and they fit perfectly. I ordered size 43 in brown and they turned out too small and narrow... I put them on with quite a thin sock, so what would happen if I wanted to wear thicker ones in winter... I returned the shoes and for now will hold off on buying a bigger size... maybe in summer when the current shoes from WOT are too warm...

The best combat boots I've had. I used the previous pair for almost 6 years in very different conditions—from heat to snow, from cobblestones through the floors of various cars, construction sites, and workshops to forest mud and swamps. The leather remained in surprisingly good condition (and I only took basic care—washing and waxing). I tried other boots but returned to Grom Protectors.

Great shoes, look good on your feet, so you can use them both outdoors and for everyday wear. I've already tested mine, and now bought another pair for a friend. Definitely worth recommending.
