Salewa MTN Trainer 2 Mid GTX Boots - Onyx/Black
Alpine-style trekking boots , designed for demanding expeditions in mountainous terrain. The upper is made of high-quality suede leather with a thickness of 1,6 mm, and the foundation is the advanced Vibram WTC 2 outsole. The footwear is equipped with Gore-Tex, 3F System and Flex Collar technologies, which ensure full waterproofing, ankle support and optimal comfort during long hikes.

The upper is made of durable 1,6 mm thick suede leather and reinforced with a full rubber rand, which protects against mechanical damage when in contact with rocks or rubble. The applied 3F System with steel cables guarantees heel stabilisation and lateral support, while Flex Collar technology allows the ankle joint to move naturally during steep ascents and descents.
Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane
The footwear uses a Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane, which is permanently integrated with the boot lining, creating a unified protection system. This technology ensures lasting waterproofing and optimal breathability, effectively protecting the foot from moisture in varied weather conditions while enabling efficient heat dissipation during intense exertion.

The boots are equipped with an anatomically contoured MFF+ (Multi Fit Footbed Plus) insole, which thanks to interchangeable layers allows the volume of the inside of the boot to be adjusted to the individual needs of the user.
Vibram WTC 2 outsole
The Vibram WTC 2 outsole features a self-cleaning tread that guarantees high grip on a variety of surfaces, from rocky trails to loose ground. The midsole is made of dual-density PU foam, which ensures a balance between cushioning and stiffness, essential when moving through steep terrain.
Climbing Lacing system
The lacing system is the Climbing Lacing system, meaning lacing that extends all the way to the toes (inspired by climbing footwear), which enables precise fit adjustment along the entire length of the foot for better control and stability. At the back of the upper there is a loop that makes it easier to put the footwear on and take it off quickly.

Gorex-Tex Performance Comfort is a waterproof and windproof membrane made of non-woven insulating fabric with a grammage of 100 g/m2, providing moderate insulation for a wide range of temperatures. Thanks to its construction and microporous structure, it prevents the penetration of moisture from the outside, wicking it away, resulting in very good breathability.
MFF+ (Multi-Fit Footbed) is a modular shoe insole system with a simple two-piece design connected by Velcro. It allows shoes to be carefully adjusted to accommodate varying degrees of foot tenacity or the use of socks of different thicknesses, thus providing adequate support during long-term use.
The 3F system is a way of connecting three points on the shoe: the instep, the sole and the heel. The system uses a special design based on a steel cable or strong strap that surrounds the ankle, but does not immobilize the ankle joint. This gives the shoes flexibility, lateral stability and a proper fit, which is important especially on uneven or difficult terrain.
