Savotta Varjelus PALS Placard Panel - Green

Green front panel designed for mounting on the Varjelus tactical vest by Savotta. The design is equipped with 4 rows of PALS webbing, allowing stable attachment of selected MOLLE-compatible equipment elements.

The panel measures 25 x 20 cm and weighs only 105 g. The low weight reduces the load on the vest, while the webbing layout allows adjustment of the arrangement of pouches and utility pouches to a specific configuration.

durable 500D Cordura and polyester webbing

The panel is made of 500D Cordura, a polyamide fabric with high resistance to abrasion, tears, and intensive use. The material retains adequate stiffness, so the panel does not lose its shape when pouches and other modules are attached.

The PALS webbing is made of 100% polyester. It creates attachment points for compatible equipment. The webbing is sewn to the base material in a way that ensures stable retention of accessories.

Reduced visibility in infrared

The model features properties reducing the signature in the NIR range, meaning near infrared. The materials, dyes, and finishing process used were selected to reduce the difference in infrared radiation reflection between the surface of the equipment and the surroundings.

The reduced contrast can make quick identification of the equipment more difficult during observation with night vision.

PALS webbing layout

The panel is equipped with 6 columns and 4 rows of PALS webbing. The height of the 4 rows was selected with AK pouches in mind, as they usually take up more space than models designed for AR-15 magazines.

The tall panel prevents a situation in which the lower part of the AK pouch protrudes below the edge. At the same time, the design remains compatible with lower pouches for AR-15 magazines.

stable mounting to the tactical vest

The rear part of the panel is equipped with elements enabling quick and stable installation on a tactical vest. Low-profile G-hook hooks and velcro attachment are used. The hooks hold the upper part of the panel, while the velcro stabilizes it on the surface of the vest. The combination of both solutions reduces module shifting during movement and allows it to be detached quickly.

The G-hook hooks are attached using durable webbing. If necessary, they can be replaced with Side Release quick-release buckles. The side loops allow the use of split QR buckles and quick-release systems such as Tubes and ROC.

grab tabs in the corners

Grab tabs are placed in the lower corners. They make it easier to detach the panel, open the velcro fastening, and stabilize the module during putting on and removal.

Velcro feature
Velcro

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.

Cordura feature
Cordura

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.

PALS system feature
PALS system

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) feature
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance)
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.
