A good, compact set with a filter which, if used properly, should according to the manufacturer last practically a lifetime. :) It filters water from rivers, floodplains and streams quite well. I haven't had to use water from puddles yet, but it should handle that as well. For more turbid water, I recommend pre-filtering through a Helikon filtering bag to avoid clogging the filter. In general, the filter itself is very good, you can buy it separately and assemble the rest of the kit on your own; it should come out cheaper.

I bought it mainly with emergencies in mind, where access to water is key, and the small filter is less efficient than its larger counterpart. And it also takes up less space than a pack of bottled water.

A great solution for trips with the whole family to the mountains or other holidays. It will also come in handy at home in case of an emergency. I highly recommend it to everyone.
