Schrade Ferocity Assisted AUS-10 Folding Knife - Black

A folding knife designed for everyday use, opened using a flipper. The 85 mm long Drop-Point blade is made of AUS-10 stainless steel, and the black handle is made of G10 laminate. The knife is equipped with a Liner-Lock and a Nitro Assist opening mechanism.

AUS-10 stainless steel, hollow grind

The Drop-Point blade is made of AUS-10 stainless steel and finished with a black oxide coating. This steel is characterized by its long-lasting sharpness and high corrosion resistance. The blade features a deep hollow grind, which ensures excellent cutting performance.

Nitro Assist mechanism, Liner Lock

The blade is 85 mm long and 3.175 mm thick. It opens with a flipper, allowing the knife to be opened with either the right or left hand. It is equipped with a Nitro Assist mechanism, which ensures smooth opening. The Liner Lock sliding locking mechanism prevents the knife from closing and from accidentally opening while being carried.

G10 laminate handle

The ergonomically contoured handle features black scales made of durable G10 laminate. Their textured finish provides slip resistance and enhances grip, ensuring a stable and secure hold while working. The knife is equipped with a clip that allows you to easily attach it to a belt or the waistband of your pants.

AUS-10 is a high-quality stainless steel produced by the Japanese company Aichi Steel, considered one of the best in the AUS steel series, used mainly in mid-range and high-end utility knives, produced mainly in Japan and Taiwan. The carbon content (0.95-1.1%) ensures high hardness, while chromium (13-14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which affect hardenability, impact strength, elasticity, and machinability, improving structural stability and maintaining mechanical properties. After hardening, the steel achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, offering an excellent balance between strength, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. It is comparable to 440C steel, differing in carbon content and the addition of vanadium, which improves structural homogeneity and increases abrasion resistance.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
