Very nice and well-made whetstone, truly effective and very pleasant to work on, slowly wears down—stand is OK—well-matched grits. I truly RECOMMEND it.
Dual-sided sharpening stone featuring 600 and 2000 grit surfaces. The abrasive area measures 18 centimeters by 6 centimeters.
- 600 grit is ideal for the initial sharpening of blunt blades.
- 2000 grit is suited for fine honing, smoothing edges, and preparing blades for precision polishing.
SHARPI stone’s high hardness, manufactured in compliance with the Japanese JIS R6001 standard, delivers quicker sharpening performance and minimizes wear. Kit includes a non-slip base to stabilize the whetstone during operation.
Instructions for use: Moisten the stone with water (mist or soak briefly) or apply honing oil. Position the whetstone on a stable, level surface. To sharpen, glide the knife across the stone several times on one side, applying light pressure, then switch to the other side. Consistently maintain the recommended sharpening angle (15 deg.-30 deg.) with each pass.

A whetstone in nice grits, just right for sharpening and caring for knives. It would be helpful to have another basic tool stone for straightening bigger chips in the edge, but overall this one stone is sufficient.

Truly recommendable, with daily use the 600 grit works well on the edge and the 2000 finishes it, in the end I recommend stropping the knife on leather, but even without that it is great.

I recommend it. A great thing to really have a sharp knife in the kitchen. The rubber base holds very well even on a wet countertop. I will definitely buy other grits from this company. Overall, sharpening knives is a very satisfying activity :)
