The pneumatic variant of the MCX Virtus carbine from Sig Sauer closely mirrors the firearm model in both appearance and construction. The carbine is crafted from a blend of metal and polymer materials. Key components such as the receiver, sighting system, and internal mechanisms are constructed from metal, while the handguard, outer barrel, magazine, stock, and select smaller parts are produced from sturdy polymer. The original firearm's Sig Sauer manufacturer’s markings are featured on the body.

WARNING!!!
Charging PCP air rifles requires an external source of compressed air:
- a bottle from which air can be transferred using a PCP filling kit
- or by utilizing a compatible hand pump

The main advantage of PCP (Precharged Pneumatic) air rifles over spring-powered models lies in the elimination of recoil—there is no piston-induced kickback since the internal moving elements weigh less than 10 g, an effect unnoticeable even to the shooter or with a rifle weighing over 3 kg. This unique design permits the use of more delicate, higher magnification optics—since the rifle can remain stable in the shooter’s hands upon firing, without the risk of shifting or vibration.

Within the carbine, the compressed air reservoir is positioned in place of the traditional receiver extension. The MCX launches Diabolo (waisted) pellets in 5.5 mm caliber, loaded into a detachable magazine with a 30-round capacity. The airgun achieves pellet speeds reaching 180 m/s.

Outfitted with a full-length top 22 mm RIS rail and an M-Lok type front handguard, the carbine allows for mounting dedicated accessories, such as additional RIS rails, in various configurations and positions courtesy of multiple slots on the handguard. The upper Picatinny rail comes equipped with folding Flip-Up mechanical sights, where the front sight is adjustable for elevation and the rear sight for windage.

Fitted with an ambidextrous fire selector which doubles as a safety, the MCX requires cocking prior to the initial shot, replicating the operation of the original firearm. Built into the pistol grip is a storage compartment containing a multitool, designed for adjustments to the sighting devices and the rifle's stock.

So far, the air gun works great. It's the only one if you want to have a look similar to the AR platform. The only downside is that the slide release, bolt release, and left-sided magazine release are just dummies.

The carbine has its weight, which is a plus because it's very close to the original. The trigger is hard, but after all, it's a replica. The plastic magazine hurts a little, but so far it has withstood a lot, including an accidental fall (I hope magazines will be available soon). Some not very intelligent employee, instead of packing it properly, just stuck a label on the original box and that's how the courier delivered it. The carbine is worth its price, even though it's not cheap. In the short time I've had it, I've shot a few packs of pellets and nothing has happened to the SIG.

The rifle is great and shoots really hard, but I'm having problems with the magazines. I have 4 of them and only 2 work properly. The others either feed pellets randomly or don't feed them at all. The air rifle itself is very good, but the magazines definitely need improvement.

Very accurate and powerful AR platform replica; in my opinion, a big advantage is with such a large magazine capacity—thirty rounds—it is not picky about pellets.

I've had the rifle for a year, and I think this period and shooting about 8,000 pellets allows me to make a relatively objective assessment. The PCP version looks hardly different from the firearm (at first glance, only the cylinder gives away that this is a PCP rifle). RIS rail and M-LOK system allow for various customizations, which is great. I’ll add that the rifle itself has its weight (slightly less than the original Sig Sauer MCX Virtus Patrol 16 loaded), and adding any optics, grips, tripod, flashlights, etc. increases the weight, which you feel during extended shooting. At the start, it's worth buying one or two more magazines and pellets by the kilo :) The trigger is quite hard, which is related to the magazine's loading system (but you get used to it). Accuracy is really great—at 60m, with a slight height correction, everything hits a 6cm diameter target. Thanks to the magazine (the more, the better), you can shoot dynamically, which is a lot of fun and lets you practice certain habits that could be useful if you ever want to shoot firearms. After thousands of pellets, the rifle is still accurate and I haven’t noticed any problems with any mechanism, cylinder, or magazines. For frequent and long shooting, consider a bottle with a fill adapter, unless you want to train your muscles, then I recommend a pump and immediately shooting after a workout isn’t so easy :) In conclusion, I recommend this rifle.

Everything matches what other users of this semi-automatic have written :) For me, the most valuable thing is that it has a 30-pellet magazine, it's accurate in its class, the PCP power system is amazing (I have a Crosman DPMS and CO2 canisters run out like water), and the appearance also matters. One TECHNICAL NOTE: standard 10mm screws in the M-LOK for this VIRTUS are too short; they need to be at least 12mm because the handguard walls are thick :)

The air rifle looks nice. I spent a long time deciding which Sig to pick—this one or the CO2 version. I chose PCP to minimize costs. The bolt cycling sound is beautiful. The only thing that bothers me is the stock wobble. We'll see how it works out, and on the minus side, the magazine is plastic, though you get 30 rounds. Overall, I recommend it.

Very good rifle. It's best to buy pellets of the weight recommended by the manufacturer. It's worth testing different kinds and picking the one that loads best into the magazine belt—for me, the best value for money was JSB Hades. Optics are a must, a red dot sight + 3x magnifier are enough for this rifle to shoot accurately. Overall, if I were to buy again, I would buy this same air rifle because it's worth it.

Great air rifle. Good workmanship and reliable operation. It's worth getting kilograms of pellets because you go through them quickly. The iron sights needed some tinkering to set them up properly. I recommend adding optics.

The first air rifle that came to me was faulty and air escaped through the barrel. I exchanged it for another model, which is already fine. You can have a lot of fun with it.

Great equipment. My first PCP air rifle and I'm very satisfied with it. When filled to 200 bar (3000 psi), it's enough for 7 magazines of shooting (up to 9, but the last 2/3 magazines are weaker in power). The air rifle is SUPER accurate. My record is hitting a 1-liter metal can from 70/80m without a scope, just using the open sights. It has tremendous power; caliber 5.5 at this muzzle velocity causes significant damage. My friend and I compared it with a high-budget PCP sniper in caliber 4.5, and hits from the rifle were definitely more spectacular and impressive. I think this is the most powerful PCP semi-automatic available on Militaria. Shooting at thicker metal cans or even concrete blocks is a lot of fun—even my wife enjoyed it :D

Nice air rifle, I couldn't find anything else as well made. The only downside, as someone wrote, is the magazine can jam a bit—depending on whether the pellet slips out of the internal belt. I also had to stabilize the barrel—it had a bit of a wobble. On the plus side: definitely the power, build quality, and enjoyment during shooting. As for accuracy, I'll need to buy a scope/red dot to check various distances. From 20m, I hit a 5cm diameter target without additional sights. I bought a second magazine—I recommend it. Loading 30 pellets takes longer than shooting them :) I also bought a dedicated silencer—definitely quiets it down—I recommend it too.

It makes an impression, feels great to hold. In general, you can see that someone really put in the effort because the safety and charging positions are easily accessible! The trigger is hard because it also serves to cycle the magazine. The only minus (which I was also worried about before the purchase) is the play in the cylinder. I don't think making the cylinder's thread part of the structure was a good idea, but time will tell.

The rifle is great, you can easily hit a can or bottle from 40m with a red dot sight, and adding magnification makes long distances even easier. Pellets go very quickly in my opinion, it's best to shoot SIGAIR Venom 5.5 pellets. I bought 2 extra magazines, so now it's even more fun.
