Featuring a 240 mm blade crafted from robust SK-4 carbon steel, renowned for its outstanding resistance to cracking and chipping. Silky is a Japanese brand of hand saws, founded in 1919 in Ono by Katsuji Miyawaki. For more than one hundred years, it has been regarded as a synonym for precision and reliability, and its saws stand out for their high quality of workmanship. They are made from top-grade cutlery steel, treated with impulse hardening technology - impulse hardening of the teeth - and designed for "pull cutting," which allows for light operation and smooth wood cuts.     Great saw, handy when folded, case protected against accidental opening. The saw itself is locked when unfolded and won't close by accident. And it cuts very well, provided you follow the manufacturer's recommendations (cutting 'towards yourself'), because if you press too hard while moving 'away from yourself', the blade bends.

The saw is quite flexible, so you have to be careful not to bend it during fast cutting as this could break the blade.

    Top-class equipment. Recommended by most bushcrafters. In my opinion, it’s the perfect size for cutting medium-sized logs for a campfire. It will also handle larger ones without a problem. I suggest watching videos on how to use them before trying. These saws do not forgive mistakes and it’s very easy to break the blade.
