Expert Expedition S map compass by Silva, engineered for seasoned users seeking a highly accurate and all-encompassing navigation instrument.

Expedition S is enhanced with photoluminescent markings on the dial, needle, and baseplate, greatly improving visibility and usability in low-light situations. Outfitted with a mirror, magnifier, 85 mm and 3-inch rulers, a pendulum clinometer, as well as 1:25000 and 1:50000 map scales on a flexible, easy-to-bend tape, this compass is built for versatility. A rotating dial includes a rubber DryFlex grip for superior comfort and control.

Functions both as a sighting compass and a map compass, and, with a Romer scale, supports navigation when using a GPS receiver. Magnetic declination correction ensures reliable performance anywhere on the globe.

Included is a card for assessing avalanche risk zones in conjunction with a map. Also supplied is a lanyard for neck carry, featuring a safety clasp that automatically releases under strong tension.
