An excellent choice for beginners in astronomy, the telescope features a primary mirror with a 130 mm diameter and a 650 mm focal length, offering an f/5 focal ratio.

Matching the optical specifications of the larger Sky-Watcher BK13065EQ2, its compact form easily fits into a backpack. The telescope’s design distinguishes itself among astronomical scopes thanks to a single-arm Dobsonian mount paired with a collapsible tube—the hallmark of the larger Dobson Sky-Watcher series—enabling the device to compact down for easy transport.

With its lightweight build and mobility, the telescope is perfect for excursions to the mountains, lakesides, or any dark-sky location far removed from city lights. Under these conditions, even a mirror with a moderate diameter reveals nebulae and galaxies for observation.

The device enables observation of nebular bodies, numerous star clusters, and galaxies. Accessible targets include:

Solar System objects:

  • The Moon—observe craters, lunar maria, mountain ranges, and major crater structures
  • Jupiter—view cloud bands and the four largest Galilean moons
  • Saturn—distinct rings, the Cassini Division, and the shadow of the rings cast on the planet
  • Mercury and Venus—observe planetary phases
  • Mars—see the polar ice caps
  • Uranus and Neptune—visible as compact disks

Deep sky objects:

  • Observe hundreds of double and multiple stars
  • Star clusters—both open and globular—including M13 and the Double Cluster in Perseus
  • Nebulae and galaxies catalogued by Messier and NGC, such as M42 in Orion, M20 (Trifid), and M8 (Lagoon)
  • Planetary nebulae—such as M27 and M57, featuring distinguishable internal structure
  • Galaxies within the Virgo Cluster, which are especially striking under dark skies

Included in the telescope package are a Red Dot finder and two eyepieces: Super 10 and Super 25.
