The operating temperatures of the Softie 6 sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: 0 deg C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can comfortably sleep through the night,
- T-extreme: -5 deg C - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.
The sleeping bag’s outer layer utilizes Paratex Steelplate fabric, delivering excellent breathability, robust wind resistance, and superior moisture protection due to DWR (Durable Water Repellency) waterproofing. During damp mornings in the field, dew forms on the surface rather than penetrating, helping keep the sleeping bag dry. The inner lining features Paratex Light material, recognized for its soft hand feel, strong windproof qualities, and breathability rated at 12l/m2/24h. Enhanced breathability actively guards against moisture accumulation inside, reducing condensation from body heat combined with cold outdoor conditions.
A reinforced section is placed inside the foot area, boosting insulation efficiency and enabling sleep with footwear on without risk of wear or tear to the bag. Two small loops are also incorporated here, making it easy to suspend the sleeping bag for ventilation.
Filled with Softie Premier, the sleeping bag ensures excellent thermal insulation, even in damp conditions, while its supple texture enhances comfort. Thanks to the unique, proprietary fiber construction, the sleeping bag is suitable for hand and machine washing as necessary.
A two-way zipper from the renowned brand YKK is positioned on the right side of the sleeping bag. An internal protective strip safeguards the fabric from getting caught in the zipper and helps to minimize heat loss. Two sleeping bags with zippers on opposite sides can be joined together to form a double.
A hood with anatomical shaping offers enhanced protection against heat loss from the head. Tightening the drawstring further reduces warmth dissipation and boosts comfort during overnight stays in cold environments.
