I bought this tool out of curiosity. It's a cool little gadget, but not without flaws. Let's start with the positives. It's definitely small and light, making it easy to carry for EDC. It's one of the few tools with a corkscrew, which is both a plus and a minus, but more on the downsides later. The opening system and the smoothness of its operation are positives. The Philips screwdriver, despite its small size, works fine and is actually comfortable to use. The knife, despite its rough appearance, is sharp. The bit holder is also a great solution, especially with the lock that secures the bit more firmly. The stonewash finish is also a plus. As for the downsides... the cutter for ropes/belts/strings is dull, and removing any tools other than the knife is difficult. Even though access to the scissors seems potentially easy, they're actually hard to take out. There's also a lack of a proper flat screwdriver; there’s only a small one for jewelry and glasses. As a potential flathead, you could use part of the rope cutter, but it won’t be aligned. The downside of the aforementioned corkscrew is its impact on ergonomics. My final conclusion is that this is a better alternative compared to mini tools, but if someone is considering a larger Leatherman or Victorinox, it definitely loses out to them. While the SOG is quite interesting when on promotion price-wise, at full price, in my opinion, it’s no longer worth it.
