Lightweight, compact folding knife crafted for everyday use EDC (Every Day Carry). Certain countries restrict the possession of knives equipped with locking or assisted mechanisms that enable rapid one-handed opening. Addressing these legal limitations, the manufacturer developed the Terminus SJ. The blade remains open due to a spring mechanism and to fold it, users must apply targeted pressure.
Featuring a Clip-Point blade, forged from stainless CPM S35VN steel, renowned for superior corrosion resistance, outstanding edge retention, user-friendly sharpening compared to S30V, and enhanced chip resistance due to a finer steel grain structure. The flat-ground blade is heat-treated to achieve a hardness of 59-61 HRC. The steel undergoes a specialized low-temperature heat treatment in line with SOG’s exclusive specifications. For enhanced durability, the blade is finished with Titanium Nitride (TiNi) coating, offering protection against scratches, resistance to corrosion, and reduced reflectivity.
Deployment utilizes a dual-sided nail notch, while jimping offers a reliable thumb rest when in use. Accidental blade closure is prevented by the integrated Slip Joint lock.
The handle is constructed from textured scales of G10 laminate and carbon fiber, delivering a secure, steady grip under any circumstances. Everyday portability is enhanced by a flexible steel clip, mountable on either side for left or right-handed use.
