Sordin Supreme X2 Memoryfoam Headband Active Hearing Protectors - Black
Designed for shooting sports enthusiasts and uniformed professionals, active hearing protectors deliver reliable performance in both training and operational scenarios. The low-profile construction and premium materials guarantee comfort, even with prolonged wear. Offering sound attenuation of SNR 29 dB, these protectors meet the current European Single Number Rating (SNR) standards for effective noise reduction.
SordinHEAR2 sound system, two microphones
The SordinHEAR2 audio system ensures superior sound clarity and provides four distinct audio profiles (Hunter, Shooter, Focus, and Ambient off). Equipped with two high-frequency omnidirectional waterproof microphones, it efficiently detects environmental noise and transmits it to the integrated speakers. Harmful noise levels are reduced to a safe maximum of 82 dB, while quieter sounds are enhanced. Users can maintain full situational awareness, no matter the surrounding noise conditions.
Profiled headband, Gradual adjustment system, large buttons
The contoured headband is constructed from both plastic and steel. A gradual adjustment mechanism ensures optimal fit according to the user’s preferences, while the folding structure makes transportation and storage more efficient. The earmuffs include memory foam cushions for enhanced comfort. Operating the headphones with large, conveniently placed control buttons is straightforward, even when wearing tactical gloves or in challenging weather conditions. Designed for ambidextrous use, these headphones are ideal for both right- and left-handed shooters.
Battery-powered, low battery indicator, automatic shutdown
Power is supplied by either an AA battery or a Sordin Power 14500 3.7V rechargeable battery, delivering up to 70 hours of runtime with an AA battery and up to 100 hours with the rechargeable option. Battery replacement is simple—just unscrew the cover on the side of one earcup. The unit comes with a low energy warning system (activating when approximately 40 hours of use remain) and features an automatic power-off function after 4 hours of inactivity.
Built-in microphone, AUX audio input
Fitted with a 3.5 mm AUX audio input, the protectors enable connection to external devices such as a radio or a mobile phone.
Standards and certifications
The Sordin Supreme X2 Headband version meets the following standards:
- SNR 29 dB – the attenuation rate measured according to the European SNR (Single Number Rating) standard, indicating the anticipated degree of noise reduction in standard occupational environments.
- IP68 – ingress protection classification for both the battery compartment and microphones. Delivers complete defense against dust intrusion and permits immersion in water up to 2 meters for a duration of 30 minutes.
- EN 352-1:2020 – defines the specifications for ear-worn hearing protection, independent of electronic capabilities. Validates the protective capability of both passive and active earmuffs in reducing noise.
- EN 352-4:2020 – pertains to hearing protectors with sound level-dependent systems. Guarantees that low-level sounds are properly amplified by the microphones and electronics, while dangerous sound levels are effectively suppressed.
- EN 352-6:2020 – regulation covering hearing protectors with external audio connectivity. Ensures that audio received from external devices (such as radios or smartphones) remains within safe limits.
- MIL-STD 810 – U.S. military testing protocol specifying standards for assessing a device’s durability against environmental stressors including vibration, shock, moisture, dust, freezing conditions, and high heat.
- MIL-STD-461 – U.S. military standard that sets the criteria for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in electronic gear, ensuring both resistance to electromagnetic interference and control of its emission.
- ANSI S3.19-1974 – establishes the procedure for laboratory-based evaluation of noise reduction capabilities for hearing protectors such as earmuffs and earplugs.
- RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) – certified as free from banned elements like lead, cadmium, or mercury.
- WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) – adheres to EU directives regarding proper disposal and recycling of electronic products.

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) certification means that the device complies with the European Union directive limiting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The device contains no or only trace amounts of six substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). RoHS certification aims to reduce the impact of these substances on human health and the environment.
