Exceptional toughness is provided by the use of Makrolon in the frame. In addition, a premium NBR-Longlife rubber armor further safeguards the binoculars against harsh environmental factors and improves grip security. Floating prisms are mounted using durable, flexible silicone, shielding internal optical components.
Binoculars are equipped with a compass with illumination, powered by a CR 1225 battery. The compass is positioned on the exterior, eliminating any obstruction during viewing. Shock-absorbing liquid fills the compass for increased durability.
