The STI Duty One air pistol pays homage to the iconic Colt 1911, also recognized as the Colt Government, through its faithful visual design.
Meeting STI’s renowned standards for craftsmanship, the Duty One incorporates a metal slide finished in matte. The slide features pronounced serrations at both the front and rear grasping zones, making reloading effortless and ensuring a secure grip even with gloves.
A metal trigger, paired with a metal hammer, defines the firing mechanism, which functions in Single Action (SA) mode. Firing is possible only after the hammer is cocked, either manually with the thumb or by racking the slide. With every discharge, the slide cycles back, powered by the Blow Back system that both generates realistic recoil and automatically cocks the hammer for the next shot. The tangible recoil enhances the authentic shooting experience and also delivers a higher rate of fire thanks to the slide’s movement.
Designed to shoot 4.5 mm steel BBs (commonly known as BBs), the magazine accommodates up to 20 rounds. Power comes from compressed carbon dioxide, with both the magazine and 12-gram CO2 capsule securely housed within the grip. Each CO2 cartridge supports roughly 60 shots at an initial velocity of 112-122 m/s!
With its economical CO2-driven mechanism, Blow Back system, and generous magazine size, the Duty One achieves an impressive potential firing rate approaching 400 rounds per minute. The magazine can be emptied in as little as 5 seconds! Should the magazine run empty, the moving slide automatically stays in the locked rear position—a function controlled by the slide release lever positioned on the pistol’s left side, just above the trigger.
An adjustable safety, positioned within easy reach of the right thumb, ensures safe operation by locking the trigger in place (in its rest position) along with the hammer, regardless of hammer status, and the slide itself. The left side features a wing-style safety button, displaying a white dot and "S" for safe, and, when disengaged, a red dot and the letter "F" for fire.
Magazine release is achieved by pressing a button at the base of the trigger guard, conveniently located next to the grip on the left. The ergonomically shaped nylon grip in this area aids shooters with smaller hands for improved accessibility.
The grip panels come in a graphite-black finish, styled with diagonal striped texture and proudly displaying the STI manufacturer’s logo at the center. Grooves along the front and rear, where the grip panels end, combine with the textured panels to offer enhanced handling and control over the pistol.
Easy target alignment comes courtesy of open sights, with both the front and rear sights being horizontally adjustable. An under-barrel rail conforming to the STANAG 2324 standard (also recognized as Weaver or Picatinny) enables mounting of tactical accessories like a laser or flashlight.
The robust frame bears STI’s distinctive branding on each grip panel and on the slide, complemented by a unique serial number on the frame.

The grip profile may not fit everyone's hand. Accuracy?—this is not a sniper rifle with a scope... acceptable, though the first impression is that it pulls right-downward.
