An essential accessory for the scoop, solid workmanship, fits securely in the hand thanks to the shaped plastic handle. If you’re thinking about searching with a metal detector in a lake or on the beach, this is a "must have".

Durable, but also heavy shaft. If it is to be used with one hand, then only under water; otherwise, it's worth mounting an additional handle for the other hand. The pin does not fully latch onto the scoop and is not made of stainless steel, so I replaced it with a stainless steel bolt with a wing nut.
