Comfortable, well-thought-out jacket – the material is okay and provides thermal comfort. Unfortunately, the inner finish quality is poor. The first piece (which was too small) looked fine, but the XL I ordered the second time had a lot of loose threads and lint inside. Also, there is stitching that makes it impossible to zip it up all the way. I have seen many Chinese products sewn more carefully. Quality control is definitely lacking. Overall – as long as nothing starts coming apart, it’s a decent transitional jacket or can be used as a layer in a "winter onion" system. (Regarding sizing – I am 191 cm tall with an average build – XL is a tight fit)
Texar Convoy 2.0 Softshell Jacket - Olive
Softshell jacket in Olive shade, featuring five functional pockets, adjustable cuffs, and a high collar. Designed to shield against wind and rain, the jacket ensures excellent thermal insulation.
Breathable, stretchy fabric, fleece liner
The exterior comprises a blend of polyester (95%) and elastane (5%), offering outstanding resistance to mechanical wear, abrasion, and multi-directional stretch. An integrated fleece lining guarantees reliable thermal insulation. Underarm vents in the softshell ensure optimal ventilation during use. Due to the nature of the fabric, elements such as branches, leaves, and other forest debris do not cling to the jacket.
5 practical pockets
Outfitted with 5 spacious pockets, all secured with zippers:
- two pockets at the hips
- one zippered pocket on the chest
- two pockets located on the shoulders
Main zipper, adjustable cuffs, high collar
The primary fastening utilizes a zipper with a chin guard to enhance comfort and safeguard the skin from irritation during wear. A high collar delivers effective wind protection for the neck, while Velcro adjustable cuffs offer improved insulation against cold and enable a more customized fit. Side zippers provide fast access to the belt.
Velcro panels
Velcro panels positioned on both shoulders enable the attachment of various patches or emblems, including the national flag, unit insignia, or Morale Patches, allowing you to personalize the jacket to your preference.

Very nice Softshell. Perfectly tailored. Ideal for cold days. The pockets could be a bit bigger and there's a lack of inside pockets, but other than that it's great. Highly recommend.
-
Nice cut and excellent workmanship. Too bad there is no zippered 'ventilation' under the armpits. I hope it will work well outdoors.
-
The jacket is very durable, waterproof, and windproof. It fulfills its purpose. I recommend it.
-
Very good workmanship. But there is a problem with sizing. It's significantly understated.
-
Well made, comfortable, does not restrict movement. I even use it every day.
-
Great product from a Polish company. The sizing is accurate. For me, Texar beats Helikon, not only in terms of price, but also with a better fit and appearance.
-
The jacket is perfect. Always at hand. Even when packed carelessly and put in the trunk, it doesn't get wrinkled after taking it out :) It insulates well from the wind. Comfortable to wear.
-
Nice cut. Rather for a slim person. Unfortunately, there is no ventilation under the armpits and the shoulder pockets are a flop - everything ends up at your elbows. Besides that, quite a pleasant jacket.

Convoy 2.0 vs. Falcon If anyone is considering these two jackets, here is my assessment. Convoy: more 'civilian', thinner fleece, has a membrane, fewer pockets, no hood, inner pockets, weapon access zippers do not work. Falcon: with hood, has drawcords at the bottom, thicker fleece, more pockets, more suited for outdoor than city use, zippers under the armpits, no membrane. For everyday use Convoy, for expeditions Falcon.
