These shoes are in a slightly different league, more suited for specific terrain and tougher conditions. They're sturdier and you can feel it immediately when you put them on, but because of this, they provide a greater sense of stability, especially on uneven ground. I've already worn them in the rain and on wet grass and they really don't get soaked that easily, which is a big plus for me. The sole grips well even when it's slippery, so you can move around more confidently. You need to get used to their 'stiffness' a bit, but after that it's fine. They perform well on longer outings, the foot doesn't slide inside and there's no discomfort. Maybe they're not the lightest, but you gain something for what you give up. I recommend them.
