Faithful reproduction of a percussion-cap revolver first manufactured by the American brand Remington. The 1858 New Model Army Steel is a 6-shot, muzzle-loading black powder revolver. Globally, the 1858 model pioneered the use of a closed frame, providing enhanced reliability and structural durability. Constructed from black oxidized steel, it features a 5.5-inch forged barrel chambered in .44 caliber.

 

Walnut wood scales, brass trigger guard

Natural walnut wood is used for the grip scales, providing the revolver with a timeless, classic look. The trigger guard is crafted from brass, creating a striking visual contrast against the black oxidized frame.

Mechanical sighting devices

The revolver features fixed mechanical sights, comprising a traditional front sight and a groove-style rear notch.

Single Action trigger system and built-in loading lever

Firing is conducted in Single Action mode, requiring manual cocking of the hammer before each shot. The hammer features two cocking positions: the half-cock position, used for placing percussion caps onto the nipples, and the full-cock position, ready for discharging. The firearm is outfitted with a lever-style loading lever (plunger) mounted on a hinge beneath the barrel, intended for seating lead balls into the cylinder chambers.

    A good quality replica of a proven model. It's worth paying a few hundred zlotys extra for Uberti. If used properly, the gun is trouble-free. Moderate loads make the gun practically eternal and will outlast the user. I recommend the product and the Militaria.pl store.

    Impeccable workmanship, mechanisms work very smoothly. Good balance and fitting of the components. Just need to go to the range to break in the barrel before actual use.

    Axial alignment ok. The gap between the cylinder and the barrel is about 0.3 mm, which surprises me a bit, considering that in the Pietta revolver I have, the fit is tight. Either I got an individual piece or Uberti now makes them this way. I haven't shot the revolver yet, so I can't say more.
