Uberti 1858 New Army .44 5.5" Black Powder Revolver - Inox

Faithful reproduction of a percussion-cap revolver, initially manufactured by the American firm Remington. The 1858 New Model Army Steel is a 6-shot, muzzle-loading black powder revolver. As the first revolver worldwide to incorporate a closed frame, the 1858 design provides enhanced reliability and durability. Constructed from stainless steel and fitted with a 5.5-inch forged barrel chambered in .44 caliber.

 

Walnut wood scales, brass trigger guard

Grip scales crafted from natural walnut wood lend the revolver a timeless appearance. The trigger guard, made of brass, provides a visually striking contrast against the stainless steel frame.

Mechanical sighting devices

The revolver features fixed mechanical sighting systems, consisting of a traditional front sight and a rear sight designed as a groove on the upper rear section.

Single Action trigger system and built-in loading lever

The firing mechanism functions in Single Action mode, requiring the hammer to be manually cocked before each discharge. The cocking system offers two positions: a half-cock setting for fitting percussion caps onto the nipples, and a full-cock position, ready for shooting. A loading lever (ramrod) is attached on a hinge beneath the barrel, designed for pressing lead projectiles securely into the cylinder chambers.

    A good quality replica of a proven model. It's worth paying a few hundred zlotys extra for Uberti. If used properly, the gun is trouble-free. Moderate loads make the gun practically eternal and will outlast the user. I recommend the product and the Militaria.pl store.

    Axial alignment ok. The gap between the cylinder and the barrel is about 0.3 mm, which surprises me a bit, considering that in the Pietta revolver I have, the fit is tight. Either I got an individual piece or Uberti now makes them this way. I haven't shot the revolver yet, so I can't say more.
